Next Ipswich manager.... 15:01 - Feb 9 with 5846 views | itfcjoe | ....obviously hopeful it doesn't come to this in the summer - but has anyone caught your eye and feels gettable? 2 managers I've liked a lot of what I've seen off Carlos Corberan - WBA and club in a mess Danny Rohl - Sheff Weds Rohl's probably going to see them go down, but he has turned round a squad who were dire and the worst in the Champ and got them looking good whenever I've seen them. Maybe just run out of steam a bit now as relegation creeps up on them. They are on Sky tonight

Here you go.... on 15:04 - Feb 9 with 3538 views | Bloots | Replacement for McKenna…. by Bloots 9 Feb 10:39….when he goes to Palace?
Who do we think?
My preference is still Rosenior, but I still think Manning has the potential to come good.
Will we look for another up and coming, under the radar, coach?
Can’t see us going down the foreign route at the moment.

Next Ipswich manager.... on 15:05 - Feb 9 with 3558 views | Kieran_Knows | I put this in Bloots earlier thread.... In terms of up and coming coaches, Miguel Molina or Carlos Cuesta from Arsenal. Eric Ramsey at United is another (think he was linked when McKenna first took over as they went to Uni together). Lee Grant possibly? Listening to him on the Town podcast a few months back, he has aspirations to go in to management himself, which was the reason why he wanted to be a 'coach' rather than goalkeeping coach as he felt there would be no way in to Management if he went down that route.

Next Ipswich manager.... on 15:06 - Feb 9 with 3549 views | RRB | Probably too young to become a manager yet... But Carlos Cuesta will be one to keep an eye on in the next few years. Been a coach at Atletico Madrid and now assistant manager at Arsenal and can see him wanting to go into management soon.
Next Ipswich manager.... on 15:08 - Feb 9 with 3526 views | tractorboy1978 | I'd wonder whether an internal appointment may be the way we'd go to build on the culture McKenna has built and to minimise change. I guess that would be Lee Grant. Externally, I'd agree re Corberan. I'd also throw Manning into the mix. An optimistic shout perhaps if Luton came down is Rob Edwards.

Next Ipswich manager.... on 15:17 - Feb 9 with 3412 views | tractorboy1978 | I'd also add Mogga. I don't think we'd appoint him but I'd back him with this squad - always produces well coached teams that play good football.

Next Ipswich manager.... on 15:19 - Feb 9 with 3396 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | A really left field shout and maybe not for next job, but just one to watch in the future. Adam Lallana. He is one of those players who is still active but also going out getting lots of coaching experience with England youth teams, Highly intelligent, worked under some elite managers. Brighton think super highly of him and he is coaching their youth teams and working closely with De Zerbi who has many similar traits stylistically to McKenna. Brighton aren't normally wrong. Not all ex players make good managers, but he is the sort of character who you can in visage being very good and clearly willing to work for it. [Post edited 9 Feb 15:23]

Next Ipswich manager.... on 15:24 - Feb 9 with 3304 views | Jon_456 | Pep Lijnders is looking to have another go at being number 1 at the end of the season. Rosenior and Corberan both done very good jobs at Hull & WBA.
Next Ipswich manager.... on 15:26 - Feb 9 with 3273 views | baxterbasics | I think McKenna should be picking and preparing his own successor, tbh. Find a young coach and teach him McKennaball, so when the transition happens nothing really changes.

I was thinking just that, I don't recall an Ipswich manager ever getting poached by another club. I don't think we have anything to worry about.

Unsafe inference IMO Reus. McKenna is so hot right now! He's ours for the season at least though and I refuse to entertain suggestions otherwise.

I don't think that McGarry was sacked. He was quoted at the time as saying that he'd taken the club as far as he believed it could go (how ironic did that prove to be under his successor Robson!) Anyway, Wiki says he "walked out" so that proves it!

Next Ipswich manager.... on 15:56 - Feb 9 with 2965 views | _clive_baker_ | Neil Critchley would be up there for me. Been a bit of an inconsistent season with Blackpool but not sure he's been dealt the best hand there this time around. The fact they wanted him back tells you something about how highly thought of he was the 1st time before he went to Villa as Gerrard's assistant which, in hindsight, was a poor move. The only real blot on his copy book IMO albeit he wasn't number 1. QPR was a complete circus to be fair to him.
