|Lambert getting off easy|
at 11:38 2 Aug 2019
He has every right to be annoyed with Evans, Marcus hasn't helped us out here. Given the amount of sell ons we've received this should be able to bring in another half decent striker to compete with Jackson which we desperately need.
However, even with the lack of strikers and current missing centre back, our squad should be challenging for top 2 let alone top 6. How many teams are better than us?
We have the goalkeeper who made the most saves last season
2 defenders who have positive L1 experience as well as the most capped championship outfielder
A midfield full of championship experience and internationals
A striker who bagged 32 goals last season
Evans hasn't helped, but it's not an excuse. Lambert can't use him as a scapegoat imo, this team should be challenging up the top and it's down to him to do this.

recovering from a heart attack. Hope he has a good recovery, the man gave me my greatest night supporting Ipswich.
