Stay safe folks
When my Folks came over here between the wars from Holland, some of the family stayed, and some had sense then to move to Canada, apart from my Grandads cousin who moved to near Canberra.
He and half the family live in van Diemans land now, but last year even at 80 years old, was out firefighting, this year Tassie seems ok at the moment.
I've a cousin in Bungendore on the ACT / NSW border and so far she and the family don't seem to be too worried.
I'm going over next July and August when its wet and cold!!!!

Totally agree, not sure where the Original Poster is based, but I am sure he can use his degree to retrain as a teacher, more than happy to help Crowdfund him a decent Rucksack, Million pens, pencils, lunchbox, and alarm clock

Secondary teacher of 20 + years in the West Mids - My training included a school that was "one of the worst in England" and another in Lozells in Birmingham,
5 years of ICt, 3 years of Workskills and Science, and 13ish of Maths
I have been on "good money" £37000, three years ago due to my parents in Cumbria being in I went on Supply......
So now I tutor on Sundays and evenings, I charge £20 -an hour / 75mins where I could charge more but I am working class and care.
On Supply, I have recently completed 19 months in Sam Lardyarse land of Dudley - went on 2 days days cover and stayed 19 months - a little less money and less hassle - today I started at a school where I have taught parents at a local school, now longer standing.
These schools OFSTED reports often make schools "look rather shocking," but the old "satisfactory" now means crap.... they no longer take in consideration the issues of drugs, alcohol and poverty, and the new visits are more interested in "whats in the books" - yet some students have brought with them issues from home and from lack of long term memory and cognitive skills as Mum spent most of ther pregnancy pissed / on drugs (and Dads too)
Have given up numerous time to run D of E, Camping , Sat Schools etc, Football teams, Darts club - infact I used to play in a team with me, 2 ange.parents and 6 - 6th formers - how times change
Sorry for a drunken rant / moan, - UP THE TOWN - would have went to Fleetwood tomorrow but my drivers had a shoulder op, so Im off to watch Walsall!

Few mates down a pub in Carlisle that I used to go in, put a quid a week in a pot behind the bar, 7 lads, each one chose the day of the week,
Whichever day the Queen Mother died on, ... whoever had that day got the pot. She had got to 93 and had been ill...
After 5 years, they decided to have their money back!!!!

4-4-2 Magazine had Chris Kiwomya as the second or actual quickest footballer if Im correct, 10.8 seconds for 100 metres.. Neil Thompsona lmost won the longest throw in. Glenn Pennyfather won the slowest turning time, but still smashed Douglas out the park
Tyreece Simpson I believe was in the top 10 for under 19s 100 metres a year or so ago, sure hes broke 11 seconds in races a few times
