I shall be heading up on Saturday morning with a couple of friends. Meeting in BSE for 9, aiming to be in Newcastle by 2 (with a stop) for an afternoon and evening of beers. We're staying in the Holiday Inn in the centre. We were contemplating going to watch Newcastle v Fiorentina but think we'll probably just find some good pubs for a day session instead.
Sunday lie in, get lunch in Newcastle, few more beers, watch us slap Sunderland 5-0 and then try to be home and in bed for midnight. | | | |

If you’re taking the bairn Sitters, just down the road from the Premier Inn on Wessington Way is the North East Land Sea and Air Museum. It’s the classic car day on 6th August so a lot to see there. Well worth a visit.
South Shields has some of the best curry houses in the country. Particularly recommend Delhi 6.
House of Zen at Seaburn has decent scran too.
Sunday morning wor lass and the twins will be doing their weekly shop round the big Tesco near SoL. I’ll be heading across the Pacific from Los Angeles to Sydney.
