Of course he will, don't be so silly! The football gods love ITFC above all of their other subjects and will provide to us that which we need. Or equivalent.

I'm a no, sadly, although I balance this with optimism in thinking KM is staying.

Crazy to think we signed two 4m players back in early 2000s, and now over twenty years later we’re going to smash our transfer record out of sight.

* crazy that we spent such big money back then, not that we’ll be spending big now.

Yup. What do we think our new record transfer will be?

We wouldn't pay £30m for a player, would we?

Thing is if we could get him for anything close to 15mill his would probably sell for double that in a couple of years.

Chelsea paid 3mill in compensation for him.

If he signs a new contract then yes he comes back on loan, if they flog him then no as someone else will pay more.

I can't see us blowing that much on one, given we need a few. Maybe next year if survival is in the bag.

A player who is already part of the squad is worth the 12 mill we will pay.

Four other new players and one other we had on loan last year. Total spend 37 mill.

Pure speculation.

I very much doubt we will pay that much for a player this summer.

I expect us to break our transfer record 3 or 4 times, but the highest being between £12-15m. I think MA has intimated as much, that they won't go crazy.

Yes, as another season long loan. We want him and he clearly loved his time and developed here.
Chelsea will insist he doesn’t play against them but will grant him another season with us and more importantly the coaching of Kmc.

If he does I think it will be very late in the window after he has gone on Chelsea's preseason tour and they have looked at other options for him.

Truly impaired.

It depends if Chelsea's FFP fiddle of selling their training ground to themselves means they do not not to urgently sell as many players as possible over the Summer.

I hold out hope.

Hard to see any plausible route to Chelsea's first team for him, so I'm sure he'll go somewhere in the Summer.

He'll have lots of options in the Summer, likely at higher status clubs than us, but who knows what he gets if he goes to Dortmund of similar? Are you guaranteed to get the same minutes you'd get here? Will you enjoy living in Germany? Are the manager/other players a good fit?
