reading are a club so tinpot, they might Norwich look credible.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Really? I think Reading away is a poor away day at best! Soulless bowl of a stadium on a retail park miles out of the actual town!

I think the OP is laced with irony.

I assumed so too.

May they disappear into the void (Reading) and never reappear.

Reading is one of my more local grounds at just under 100 miles.

I'm really looking forward to never going there again.

The best bit about Reading away was the pub in Theale (which isn't in Reading).

Hey, I live in Reading.
You're spot on though, reading is a soulless club, it's a town bigger than Ipswich, and no local rivals, but still can't muster any decent fans or atmosphere. The most lethargic fans I've ever encountered. None of them seem to even know what a football club is supposed to be.
The stadium is just the worst example of a crap out of town lifeless bowl situated amid business parks - even worse than Franchise FC. No pubs within walking distance - even for home fans. The bus services to the stadium are ridiculously overpriced and unable to cope. The only hope is that there is a new station (Reading Green Park) opening soon, which is 5 mins on the train from Reading main station, so there's the possibility of using town centre pubs. But thankfully, they are going to L1 where they belong, and we won't need to visit any time soon.

Pity about Blackpool and Wigan! Keep away days northern! Everton, Forest and Leeds would be nice and L1 play offs are assured of a shortish trip too!

Southampton are all but down unfortunately, which is selfish frankly. Everton and Forest seem quite likely and the former will be a massive scramble for tickets. I do enjoy Forest away despite the terrible results all too often.

As funny as Lids coming down would be. Giving them £40 again seems too much to contemplate.

They kept their Championship points record though, so, every cloud.

To be fair I wouldn’t be surprised if they stay up. In their own hands still, any win in their final game keeps them up. Hopefully not though as it’s such an unattractive away game.

Yeah but hearing them sing 'Champions of Europe' always makes me laugh as does the inventive 'Leeds, Leeds, Leeds!'. At least there will be lots more chance to get tickets and no away allocations of ca. 1000.
