To an extent he's telling journos what they want to hear, and I don't mind it to be honest.
Who knows, maybe players, like Downes in CM for example, get a kick out of knowing their boss was a big player and he likes to remind them every so often?
It bothers me slightly more when he gets confrontational with Brenner for no reason, like the Bolton comments likening it to our situation with youngsters etc.
I think I respect Lambert more than I like him in a way. For what he's done for the club/fan base and obviously results recently. His personality doesn't make me all warm inside. I'd love to know what he's like behind closed doors from a player's perspective. |  |
