Squad Size
at 00:15 3 Jul 2019

By my reckoning, not including youth players with no first team experience, we have the second biggest squad in League 1. The numbers obviously change every day and it's subjective in who i've included - so for us I didn't include Wright, Webber or Cotter. But did include Ndaba, el Mizouni, Folami and Morris

Coventry 32
Ipswich 27
Shrewsbury 26
Southend 25
Sunderland 25
Gillingham 24
Portsmouth 24
Fleetwood 23
MK Dons 23
Peterboro 23
Blackpool 22
Bristol R 22
Doncaster 21
Oxford 21
Bury 20
Tranmere 20
Rotherham 19
Accrington 18
Burton 18
Lincoln 18
Rochdale 18
Bolton 17
Wimbledon 17
Wycombe 15

Pop Up Appearing Again

Is it just me, but after a decent period of having the pop up stopped it's started appearing with unerring regularity again today?

Any decent suggestions for a bar to watch the Europa and Champions League finals in Ipswich?

Jack Ross = McCarthy/Allardyce/Pulis etc

Sunderland are given a goal and they go full on Mick McCarthy and just sit back. Charlton totally deserved that

Looked very good today - i'd take him as a left back along with Norwood up front.

What was the hold up with announcing the released list?

Did we offer some contracts which were then rejected?

Have we got to a point where we feel we are close to signing someone so a player can now leave, i.e. negotiations for the Holy one are going well so Gerken can go?

Released Lists
at 13:03 9 May 2019

Not ours, but other clubs in league 1. Quite a few of these clubs seem to be going into the summer with only a handful of players on their books.

Granted players will sign up later in the summer, but it seems like there are a lot of journeymen players at league 1 and 2 level who switch clubs every 1 or 2 years.

Wasn't this what PH said about contracts? You decide what you want to do at the end of a season, renewing contracts a year before they are due to expire is unheard of.

Then I looked at who was staying and there are quite a few clubs who seem to rely on players who are 30+

Aside from the last Play off position there's nothing much to be decided. Have Sky announced what games they are covering, and because it's not Saturday are we at least going to be on the red button? Anyone know?

Anyone on here had any experience of a bruised heel? I've had one since October, when is it likely to be healed?

Early Business

We may not have spent any money, but 8 days into the window and we have 3 in already. That's not bad going, our rivals have done little - Reading brought in Ojaria, while Bolton can't even keep all their loan players. I imagine some will make some panic signings at the end of the window, but we're not going badly (again ignoring the fact we haven't spent money on a transfer fee)

Welcome to League 1

Get used to this, this is us next season. As Radio Suffolk pointed out at least we get another go at the cup early next season in November, maybe we'll win a game?

Think we'll bounce straight back? Might need to re-evaluate that idea

Brexiteers
at 13:34 7 Dec 2018

For the forseeable future, when discussions come across stupid behaviour that some people endulge in, will they be likened to Brexiteers? Will there be an entry in the Oxford Dictionary for Brexiteer?

There was a discussion about bad driving habits this morning at work, with someone asking what kind of people come out of a slip road onto the A14 at high speed. OAPs was one suggestion, but that didn't sound right. The kind of people who voted for Brexit was then decided upon.

Having just read how great things were at Stoke, owners, players, fans etc. I'm sure it has been answered before, but why did he leave and not carry on trying to get them back up?

Because, isn't that the kind of situation he'll be in at the end of the season? Was him leaving out of his hands?
