Club comments have made it worse
at 13:23 9 Apr 2024

Heres my two pennith on the situation - for what its worth.

This response from the club hasnt helped matters, and is a further kick in the teeth to those who clocked up the miles last season and this thinking they would be fine to get a ticket for Norwich away but couldnt because of this. This will need to be addressed should we have to play them in the playoffs!

HOWEVER - There were 1600 other fans who presumably go to all/most away games (including myself) that could have got right behind the team regardless of the performance on the pitch, so to blame the "flat" atmosphere on the "200 staff +1's) is a bit of a moot point.

We cant change what happened Saturday so we must now focus our attentions as a club to the remaining 5 games, starting with Watford at home tomorrow night. Lets get right behind the team from the first whistle to the last and hopefully we'll get the 3 points.

5 wins = Promotion

Question re: Leeds Away Tickets - Can Anyone Explain...
at 19:21 6 Dec 2023

My last visit to Elland Road was the 1-1 draw where Alan Lee scored an 88th minute equaliser to effectively relegate Leeds to League 1, and some Leeds fans invaded the pitch, ran over to us Ipswich fans and threw stuff at us.

Fun times!

£17 for Leicester fans at PR
at 11:12 5 Dec 2023

A Leeds fan on TikTok posted a video saying our fans were ridiculous for moaning about being charged £47 for a ticket and that because we charged their fans our Category A price of £34, they are charging us their Category A price of £47 in return.

I can sort of see the fairness in that on the surface, but Leeds charging £47 for a ticket is far too expensive for a 2nd tier match, especially when the Premier League have apparently capped match tickets at £30 (although not sure how true this is).

Well done to Leicester though for discounting their prices for the Boxing Day game.

List of unacceptable songs...
at 12:42 30 Nov 2023

Not necessarily unacceptable, but changing the lyrics to the We've got 'Super Kieron McKenna chant' from 'Ladapo in attack' is a must. He rarely plays and when he does he is unenthusiastic and looks unfit.

One I hate is "You're only here for the Ipswich" at away games. I dont sing it because I am only there for the Ipswich!!

ITV highlights
at 12:37 30 Nov 2023

I was listening to 5 Live last night after the game and they went to the reporter of our game, who said about 30 seconds of things about us and then spent the rest of the time talking about Leicester, Leeds and Southampton.

Im happy for us to carry on "flying under the radar", however a bit of respect for how we have done so far from the media would be appreciated.

Team tomorrow then...
at 15:45 28 Nov 2023

A bloke in front of me on the coach on Saturday said he expected wholesale changes for the Millwall game after that defeat - but then he was an absolute tool.

My predicted line up is:

Hladky

Williams Woolfy Tuanzebe Davis
Morsy Luongo
Burns Harness
Chaplin

Hirst

I think Tuanzebe will play, but it could be in place of either Burgess or Woolfy to be fair. Broadhead seems to have lost confidence at the moment, but could make a big impact from the bench. Hopefully (like many have said) - Hutchinson will be at least on the bench.

Realistic signings in the January window
at 10:07 27 Nov 2023

A striker is a definite must as Ladapo is League 1 standard at best. Im sure the WBA defence were quaking in their boots when he was subbed on on Saturday!

Ive heard Szmodics mentioned a few times but I think it may take a reasonable fee to prize him away from Blackburn same with Whittaker from Plymouth - although both would be amazing signings to be fair. Maybe its worth a punt on Colby Bishop or Devante Cole perhaps.

Song for George
at 16:02 21 Nov 2023

How about:

We've got Super Kieron McKenna,
He knows exactly what we need,
Woolfy at the back
Hirst in attack,
Town are gonna win the ******* league.

Ladapo no longer starts enough to warrant being in the chant anymore!

£39 for Sheff wed ticket!
at 13:55 5 Sep 2023

Sheffield Wednesday are charging Adult Non Members £51 to sit in the South Stand for this game - its a disgrace!

According to their owners their plan was to charge based on how well they are doing in the league - if thats how much they charge for being 2nd bottom on 1 point, I dread to think what they'd charge if they were in our position!

Priority points questions
at 11:00 24 Aug 2023

If you were a gold card member or above last season then your points will be added for every away game you attended. If you were a season ticket holder attending away games last season you will unfortunately start with 0 points.

You'll get points for joining the membership and away cup game tickets will give you a point too.

Following on from Rachel Riley..........

Saying she would stop supporting Man Utd if Mason Greenwood played for them again:

Hypothetically speaking - is there any player that if Town signed them it would make you seriously question whether you could support them anymore?

Just an general question - no meaning behind it.

Anyone else think sky sports football analysis is getting unwatchable
at 13:31 6 Apr 2021

I struggle to watch any match that Martin Tyler is commentating on - I know this sounds funny about a commentator, but he doesn't half love the sound of his own voice! He talks a load of drivel during matches and is just boring.

I cannot believe he’s still here???
at 13:35 18 Feb 2021

With all the extra attention that is on the club at the moment (Talk sport, BBC Website etc.) and most of it negative - this can't be good for Marcus Evans' business, therefore I really think Lamberts days are numbered.

I think its obvious to say that if Lambert isn't sacked/or walks today then he will be in charge for the Oxford game - but personally I reckon that could be his last game in charge regardless of the result.

Evans, in the past, has had a new manager lined up before he has sacked the current manager and I believe this will be the case this time.......who that might be is anyone's guess! We could end up with Mike Bassett!!

Chambo's Black Eye

Apologies if this has already been mentioned but did anyone else notice Chambo's black eye last night?

Repercussions from his differing comments after the Peterborough game than those of Shambert perhaps?

Lambert retains support of owner Evans

As Footers says - we are too nice.

Whats the bet that Evans gives Shambert a contract extention instead?

Im still convinced Shambert & Evans are undercover from up the road and destroying the club from within!

No Home Pre-Season Friendly

We should have organised a home friendly with Fortuna Dusseldorf. Ok so they aren't footballing powerhouses, but im sure with their support we could have made it a great occasion.
