Quiz - Ipswich Town Players by Picture #2 11:34 - Jan 17 with 1937 views

Morning.

If anybody would like to have a go, I’ve put together another quiz on identifying Town players from over the years. There are 30 to name in eight minutes, with those included appearing for the club over a span of 70+ years. As a result, it’s quite a mixed bag of faces and some will likely be more recognisable than others.

I enjoyed those. It’s really good and triggered a few happy memories. Liked Whymark’s yellow away kit. Is this heresy? Certainly a nicer colour than the vomit jobs up the road.

I wanted to have a bit of variation in the kits pictured and I remembered seeing him in a photo or two from the ‘70s in one of our yellow strips with blue trim but then I spotted that image from a little earlier and thought I’d use it because it’s of a good quality. I did wonder if it would be harder to guess as he’s a tad younger there but I don’t think it’s made a great deal of difference.

Thanks very much to everybody for having a go. It’s interesting to see which players are recognised the most and least.

Also, I think yellow is alright as long as it’s not with green. I remember Bartosz BiaÅ‚kowski having to wear that hideous combination at Cardiff (?) a few years ago.

...Just had a look and found it (a 1-0 defeat in 2015/16). Should never have happened.

Nice to see the previous Football League logo at the beginning there before the Americanised “EFL” rebranding.
