Hello all. I’m just wondering what the furthest distance a season ticket holder travels for home games. I’m weighing up whether to get on the ST band wagon but as I live near Windsor and use the trains, I’m trying to justify it to myself. I also want to be able to book away tickets as there are many games I can make next season.

Lived in Cardiff and Bristol for last 14 years.
First bought my season ticket whilst living in Paris for 3 years. It's easier to get to Portman Road from Paris than Cardiff...
I kept it whilst on a 6 month work relocation in Australia but that coincided with Keane's first season so I considered myself one of the fortunate ones. [Post edited 4 May 2019 21:25]

There’s not as many mid week games in League 1 as there are in the Championship.
There’s season ticket holders all over the country.
If there’s some games you can’t use it then you can always sell it to someone for say a tenner. |  |

You say that but I had a little look and i'm not sure you're right.
Midweek evening leagues games on non special days (Easter, Bank Holds etc) were between 6-8 for each team. Seemed to be the higher up the league you went the more midweek games teams played. [Post edited 4 May 2019 21:38]

You say that but I had a little look and i'm not sure you're right.

I'm in Brixton, which is a similar length journey if going by car.
My mate has been an ST holder for many years (like me)... and lives in Clithero in Lancashire (though he doesn't get to every home game). He's coming with his wife tomorrow. They set off yesterday! |  |
