Go on then, who rated him highly when we signed him?

Nope

I thought he was a really good signing, at an excellent fee.

Some decent deals done this summer by itfcjoe 14 Aug 2017 11:14
Garner and Waghorn - combined fee of less than £1m
Emyr Huws fee was £250k from a reliable source.

I've mentioned on here a few times, but we are total bargain basement shoppers - it's like seeing something you like in a shop and keep going back in to see if it is in the sale, and in your size. And then risking it a bit and seeing if it will stay in there and hit the clearance!

Can see why Evans is such a big fan of Mick and Dave Bowman - quality of football aside last year, they really are doing an incredible job on a very tight budget.

Frankly, I don't really care about football other than Town and major tournaments. I don't particularly follow other teams, or other players. I pick up bits and pieces here and there, but I don't really watch Premier League football, and I sure as heck don't watch SPL, League 1 or League 2 football.

I just don't care about them and have better things to do with my time. So I imagine my first reaction was... 'who?'

Honestly thought he would be a steady championship player, but nowhere near the levels he hit last year.

Me, and here is the proof!

Always rated waghorn, will be a good signing by Dubtractor 7 Aug 2017 7:48
More that that though, this surely indicates a real move towards a passing game.

I'm quite glad we didn't get hugill in January now!

Thought he was decent when at Leicester but did not expect last seasons effort.

I was probably similar.

I remembered he'd done enough for a big move, but hadnt really kicked on.

Was hopeful, but not sure what to expect.

Not really, thought he'd be alright and do a job but was much more happy with the Garner signing

It doesn't matter how many of us rate him highly, it depends on how much Hurst rates him.
I don't get the impression that Hurst is desperate for him to stay, he is trying to strengthen the squad with the money promised from the sale.

My post was nothing to do with the current situation or whether we should sell him.

I was just interested on peoples views when we bought him.

I wasn’t convinced I have to say.

The thing is that any player can look like a donkey if they aren’t played in a familiar role or suited to a teams style of play.
