Ben Thatcher on Bluey. Granted, only a gentle trip-up on the touchline, but Thatcher meant it and it made me chuckle! |

Put a cracking through ball in for our goal at St James' Park. I commented on that to my travelling companions on the day. No doubt he had it in his locker, but we needed him with a 2 litre engine under Mick's system, and he was a 1.2 by the time we got him. Shame, really. |

We played out from the back in the first half, but Rotherham put a man on our centre halfs from kick offs after half time. They negated that option. We need a plan b in those instances, for sure. And not long ball... |

Met Ulli and some of the Fortuna crew in legends after the match. A fine bunch of lads and they really do care about Ipswich Town. They have seen their fair share of heartbreaking seasons, and really feel for our predicament right now. And yes. They do like the swearys. |

Shows what you know. I managed to sell Knudsen in 20/21 season to Brondby IF for £8,750,000. And Kayden Jackson scored 15 times for me in the Premier League. Pretty realistic if you ask me. |

With all due respect, he was at the club academy as a player, went to university, then came back to ITFC and has had various roles there since. He has the advantage of being on the playing staff, technical on-field staff, academy, and now administration. I would say he has extensive knowledge and experience in a number of areas necessary to do well in the role. As an aside, he went to school with my brother, and he's a top bloke, and bright enough to do well in the role. I think he'll do fine. |

Wow. Amazing recall, Frimmers. How about you be right in your head and I'll be right in mine |

Watch 70% of our attacking play again and tell me you aren't happy with him. [Post edited 23 Nov 2018 22:14]

Downes didn't have a look in during the second half. Chalobah gets attention for his mistakes because he puts himself about and shows for the ball. I'd rather he played like that than went missing for 90 minutes like Nolan. |

“Success is most often achieved by those who don't know that failure is inevitable.” - Coco Chanel I think the OP has a valid point. The more we say/write/think we're going to fail, the more likely it is that we will. Positivity doesn't have to be burying your head in the sand. It can be about not voicing the 'worst fears'. PL is clearly setting the example in this regard. I know the fans are worried, there won't be any of us that hasn't thought about the worst, but if we all go around like Frazier from Dad's Army: "We're doomed, doomed....!" Then it does nothing but confound fears. By voicing sentiments like 'we will win if we keep doing what we're doing', 'these are the areas we did well', etc, and leaving PL and his staff to work on the bits that need working on, then the fans have the potential to be a massive force for good in this whole process. It would be naive to think that the players won't be aware of the overriding mood amongst the fans on social media. |
| Forum Reply | Just thinking how Stoke City played the end of last season at 23:04 25 Oct 2018
In the many, many years I've been watching football, I've come to the opinion that even the best managers can have the wrong group of players at the wrong time in the wrong circumstances or any 1 wrong with any 2 of the rights and things don't work. See Mourinho at Chelsea, then compare with Mourinho at Man Utd or Lambert at Norwich and Lambert at Stoke. Getting the perfect storm is pure luck. Two out of three ain't bad, but Hurst barely scored one out of three. It's a lottery, every time, regardless of the candidate's calibre. |

Nice! It's at 17.45, to save time for others. Does your mum actually know now, and are you quite excited that Jo Whiley said that you have 'a filthy conscience'? 😠|
