Tabb Agrees Town Deal
Wednesday, 5th Jun 2013 12:32

Town have confirmed that former loanee Jay Tabb has agreed to sign a two-year permanent deal following his release by Reading. TWTD revealed that the 29-year-old had been offered terms in late April after his successful spell towards the end of the season.

Tabb told the club site: "I really enjoyed my time at Ipswich and I'm delighted to sign permanently. I'm pleased to get things sorted and I can't wait to get going again."

The midfielder, who made seven starts and two sub appearances for the Blues during 2012/13, scoring one goal, will officially put pen to paper on July 1st when David McGoldrick and Cole Skuse are also set to formalise their deals with Town.

Meanwhile, released Sunderland centre-half Matthew Kilgallon will reportedly be weighing up his options while he is away on holiday next week.

The Blues have held talks with the 29-year-old, who is also understood to be interesting Birmingham, Blackburn and Wigan.

This is very good news, especially after the worrying reports a couple of weeks ago that the deal was close to collapsing.

Onwards and Upwards!

Superb signing in my opinion. Provides good options and is a proper fighter and talented footballer. Also a very good pro off the pitch so an excellent addition. Keep them coming big Mick !

looking good for13/14 - just need fans to turn up now - how about some promo ticketing ME - use the stack em high, sell them cheap metthod ME - better to have a bum on the seat in PR than on the sofa at home. You can cover the season ticket holders (I am one) usual boring moans about cheap seats by offering £ credits for renewal in 14/15 price if they turn up on promo days - it might turn out to be cost nuetral to the club on seat revenues, but better to have a bigger crowd for support and think of all the extra food and drink sales. Gis a job

Good news.
Good player, plenty of experience.
Also, he knows the other lads, so doesn't need to "settle in".
Hopefully we can start well.

Now.... a couple of speedy wingers & a CB and we're ready to go.

Although I agree with the comparison Sibelius8 makes, I would like to point out that Eric is not dead yet.

Good stuff. As i've said previously, i hope to see him play more of a central role rather than on the wing. Welcome back aboard Jay.
