Tabb Agrees Town Deal
Wednesday, 5th Jun 2013 12:32

Town have confirmed that former loanee Jay Tabb has agreed to sign a two-year permanent deal following his release by Reading. TWTD revealed that the 29-year-old had been offered terms in late April after his successful spell towards the end of the season.

Tabb told the club site: "I really enjoyed my time at Ipswich and I'm delighted to sign permanently. I'm pleased to get things sorted and I can't wait to get going again."

The midfielder, who made seven starts and two sub appearances for the Blues during 2012/13, scoring one goal, will officially put pen to paper on July 1st when David McGoldrick and Cole Skuse are also set to formalise their deals with Town.

Meanwhile, released Sunderland centre-half Matthew Kilgallon will reportedly be weighing up his options while he is away on holiday next week.

The Blues have held talks with the 29-year-old, who is also understood to be interesting Birmingham, Blackburn and Wigan.

Brilliant just need Stearman to sign now we just need a back up keeper I think just in case someone who could do the job if Loachy get's injured but not as good as Loachy and doesn't demand to play every game

I think we allready had a decent side when MM & TC came in and got them playing together. Now I think we've got a more than decent side and with the additions that have been made are more than capable of cutting it in the championship. This is good news, Stearman would be the icing on the cake and any further signings will give us more strength in depth. Happy days ahead, roll on August.

@ivandeighton

Think we'd all love McGuigan but apparently loads of interest from Prem teams like Cardiff so i doubt he'd even listen to our offer.

Committed player on the pitch - and that is always a good start to any player signing.

Am glad to hear he has agreed to sign but I think it's very generous of some to compare him to Eric Gates, as the only person to play for us since he left who can come anywhere near his superb Goal scoring ability was Marcus Stewert................
www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIRLwCZPlrQ ...............the first one on this clip was a typical Gates Goal!
Can someone provide some footage of some of Gates's goals?
