If they want a new PM they should call a GE. We can't have a third unelected PM in the space of one term because the Tories are a dysfunctional mess of a party who are more interested in internal power struggles than actually running the country. Feck the lot of them.
A vote that he will win by a clear majority. Although history tells us that they don't usually last much longer in the job afterwards. Whether he survives following the local elections is another matter.

I'm sure we all have our fingers crossed.
Mordaunt v Starmer. Whatever you think of this absolute shower of a government I actually think people would vote for her. Better to keep the present idiot.

It's getting to the point where it probably needs legislation. Once is fairly normal, constantly changing your leader isn't.

Well said. And while we’re at it let’s have some guidelines around minimum terms for ministers so they get to spend more than 9 months on their brief. It’s no wonder nothing works - nobody gets long enough to get a proper understanding of what they’re in charge of.

Indeed.
However repeatedly changing your leader really isn't in the spirit of the rules and was probably never envisioned.
It's taking the p*as regardless of the fact we vote for a party.

Yes. But I think that Sunak threatening to call a GE may put off a vote of o confidence. Some of these grifters won't want to lose their jobs ten month before they are expecting to.
tory mps form circular firing squad. it's slap stick politics.
And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

It should be a GE after the second change. If (hopefully not) a PM dies in office etc it makes sense to replace them with the DPM, beyond that it's just part of the rank corruption these lot are revelling in.
I hope there's a massive recouping of money and jail time for those who need it, but there won't be. It's depressing how low they've dragged us all down.

The churn provides the excuse, the get out clause and the ultimate lack of accountability on an individual basis and, therefore, on the collective governmental psyche too. A, "We just need another term to put things in place" kind of mentality even after 14 years in power!!!
