I hope the EADT prompting Lambert this week about Murphy might lead to us making a move. Hell of a servant for the club, and I would love him to be a coach here when he hangs up his boots.

Murphy (well his agent) did sound Ipswich out for a loan looking for a permanent return last season. We opted for Keane instead, I'd still prefer a fit Keane but as a squad option I'd be happy with Murphy as well because he and Judge in the third division should be goals galore.

Agreed, Murphy and Judge = promotion.

Agree - would be great to see him here as a coach. Player? Not for me. Far too expensive for what a 36 year old is likely to offer I.e. will miss games injured.

He could do a trick for a season - West Ham cost us the Premier League by signing that over hill, has been, close to 40 Teddy Sheringham back in 2004-05 who was enough quality to edge them to promotion (he scored 21 goals). I wish we'd have signed him instead of toot we did bring in that crucial season namely Tony Dinning!
If Kieffer Moore can light up this, so can Daryl Murphy even at his age!!!

I don't see him being too expensive. He's contracted at Forest so they'll have to buy him out then his terms would fall. Maybe he would come if there was a bonus for 20 goals/promotion! Norwood would benefit from him enormously and to offset we could off load one of PH's wasters.
