“The injury is a triple rupture in his left knee, with the ACL, (Anterior Cruciate Ligament), PCL, (Posterior Cruciate Ligament), and MCL, (Medial Collateral Ligament), all affected.”

Poor bloke.

Poor bloke, especially after what he's already been through. You would think at his age that's his career finished.

Had his knockers here and not without merit but what I always said in his defence was he did show some balls at a time many others didn't appear to.

I'm sure every footballer (or pro sportsperson) wants to go out on their own terms but you'd think he'd seriously consider retiring and finding something else to do at this point. An injury as serious as that at his age would be hard to come back from properly you'd have thought.

From the brink of a Prem move to an injury-hit slide down the leagues, feel bad for him.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Poor bastard.

In some ways, he was very lucky to return to the game after his leg injury at Brentford. This will almost certainly finish him off, you'd imagine.

Always seemed a solid pro, but post-leg injury he lost more than a yard of pace and dynamism that he had in his peak Brentford career.

Poor bloke, at 34 it's hard to see him comeback from this one.

Got to be a career ender that hasn’t it?

No luck at all, fantastic player at his best but never the same after that horror tackle from Hyam back in the day.

Hope it goes well for him.

I was there, and heard his scream of pain from the other of the pitch, which was barely playable.

He'd been playing a lot recently, and with great commitment. I'm very sorry for him.

Could never doubt his effort here but what had made him such a coveted asset at Brentford, that extra yard of pace to beat a man and create space for himself, was gone. As others have said, to come back after another year out at this stage of his career will be a tough ask. Everyone at Town should wish him well. There were times in his final season here that he looked like the only creative spark we had.

Shame for him that.

Think that could be hang up his boots tike, 35 by the time he's close to getting back to fitness. Given his prior injuries its going to be tough for him

Never nice to see/hear but given his previous one it seems a real shame to go out like that. Hope he finds something after recovery.
