How was Wilson today? on 18:11 - Sep 28 with 2626 views | homer_123 | No good in a back 3. Simply not good enough on the ball. No nonsense defender....positional play is good....decent tackler and good in air. Excellent backup/rotation player for us though. Didnt do anything wrong today.

From what I've seen of the two he is. Nsiala always looks like there is a rick in him. Wilson is very limited, but safe (so far).

This won’t go down well, but I really don’t see what all the fuss about Nsiala is.

We watched Nsiala play against competent centre forwards, many of whom cost £5m plus. Therein lies the difference.

I watched Nsiala in under 23's and was not impressed by his performance

Perhaps. We'll see. Using Donacien as a benchmark, he looks equally poor in league one as in the championship. Regardless of Nsiala, Wilson has been fine for us, albeit I don't think he would be good enough if we do go straight back up.

The comparison with Donacien doesn't work. He was shipped out in January by Lambert whereas Nsiala played plenty and mostly did okay. Nsiala was one of the best defenders at this level the season before last. Wilson has looked okay but we're playing against borderline Sunday league forwards in most games.

It means that Wilson wasn't a key player under Mick McCarthy.

He is, apparently, Proven In League One and played well against Leeds(a game in which we conceded two goals).

They hold about two pence less value than a one pence piece.

How was Wilson today? on 19:50 - Sep 28 with 2205 views | itfcjoe | SOlid enough today, a bit too no-nonsense for a side hoping to be more progressive on the ball. Won his battles today against a physical side, probably needed that style today in all fairness and he didn't really do anything wrong defensively

I think we need The Wolf would have been better in that on 19:55 - Sep 28 with 2156 views | unstableblue | System..... He’s just better on the ball, and can bring the ball out better, which we needed. Wilson does the defending well, and seems almost better than Chambo at the simple stuff [Post edited 28 Sep 2019 19:57]

And asking Chambers to make the plays from the right of a back three is asking for trouble. He filled a hole at right back under MM but even he'd admit it wasn't exactly his ideal position. His mistakes are also now standing out like sore thumbs. Nolan gave a lot of loose passes away but never anywhere particualrly dangerous. Luke gets exposed very easily and it makes me cringe a little. I hate to suggest he's ever dropped cos I have a lot of love for our cap. But....
