Sears doing surprisingly well thus far though. I was shocked at the change. SB

Yeah looks bright. Could easily be isolated like Jackson though - surely would have been better to have both of them on.

Yes, its not the striker that is the problem. Who ever plays up there is completely isolated and feeding off scraps. Yet again the midfield is completely non existent. Nolan - not seen him at all - complete non entity for me. If we cannot find any midfielders who can get on the ball and create, might as well just stick two up top and launch the ball up at every opportunity - cut out the poor midfield.

Yes, we’ve missed a centre forward this half. He may have been isolated first half, but when we needed one this half there’s been a big hole.

Chalobah and Donacien in particular put some good balls in but didn't have enough bodies gambling on them.

WTF sears for Jackson? (n/t) on 21:41 - Oct 2 with 2032 views | HalifaxBlue | Freddie was quite good. Offered more than Jackson with the exception of sheer physicality. He just is not cut out for a lone striker role obviously.

Exactly. Sears did well but no way is he suited to playing the role of lone striker. Either Jackson has an injury so Hurst is saving him for Swansea or else he has lost his marbles.

Why? Sears comes short, goes over the top and drives into the box offering something different. Good shout for me.

Lol He comes on and buzzes around both wings and in the cam role. Meanwhile we play 2 nil down at home without a forward in the box. Not Sears fault but he is a long way from the answer

Dozzell showed Nolan up frankly. Edwards is a better bet than Graham and must start if fit.

I think there is room for Nolan and Dozzell against weaker sides. Both were quite good today in my opinion, I'm sure I'll get pelters as Nolan seems to be written off by many already. Nolan and Dozzell along side each other would bring out the best in one and other, Dozzers next to Skuse deeper, Nolan farther forward. Chalobah cost us tonight despite many thinking he was the pick of the midfielders.

As soon as he came on he drove with the ball into the box and forced a save. No one said he was the answer just an option off the bench who offered something different.
