Who else thinks 12:21 - Sep 17 with 3845 views | chicoazul | the club didnt do its' due diligence on Donacien's situation properly before signing him and basically got him on loan because they thought he was a shoo-in for his visa? I also had a cursory read of the regulations around transfers this weekend (hard copy so no link sorry) and I dont see how we can make his signing permanent outside of the window anyway, there seems to be no allowances for this at all.

Why are you criticising the club for not doing their due diligence when you don't know what they thought the situation would be. They may have been aware it could take anything between a week and two months for example and decided that they would proceed nonetheless. It really is not an issue until loan signing number six comes in. At which point they again made a call and decided it was better to take an extra player and leave one out than not have one at all. Also you seem to be doubting the club when they've already confirmed we can sign him permanently while the window is shut. Not sure why you're suggesting, without knowing the rules, that the club may not be right. Comes across very silly.

Who else thinks on 12:58 - Sep 17 with 2815 views | FrimleyBlue | See, it could be, that they know it's not going to come until January, therefore we can sign him straight away then anyway.... we just had to sacrifice him until then to make way for graham

Who else thinks on 13:15 - Sep 17 with 2741 views | TheTrueBlue1878 | The club didn’t do there due dilligence with a lot of the signings. Jon Nolan - 1.2 million Kayden jackson - 1.75 million Ellis Harrison - 750.000 3.7 million on them three. Wow serious over expidenture. No wonder ME hates spending his money.

Is this a comment on the quality of the players or the size of the fees? It would be unfair to write them off already if the former. If the latter well, the market is the market and everyone knew we were selling Waghorn for bundles.

Yes, that's the problem here. Not that you're writing off the manager and our new signings after 7 league games and spinning everything as negatively as possible. I can't be bothered with it. I'm out.

Jackson has played what, 3 games? Pretty silly to write him off so soon for example.

Strangely he and Harrison have both played football before. Not just for 7 games, or in Jackson's case 3

Why are we acting like that's a massive fee? The reality is that £3.7m doesn't get you much these days.

Not sure football's the right sport for you. Have you tried taking an interest in, say, tiddlywinks? Something that doesn't require having to think with any hint of nuance.

Well no but if you are saying that players with decent records at a level below can't go up a level and continue to do well then youre obviously wrong. If your point is specifically about e.g. Harrison Nolan and Jackson then I say again they have been here for 5 minutes and it would be unfair to judge them this early.

I was with a friend on Friday who is a football agent and was idly reading a copy of a document he had about transfer regulations in the UK (and BTW how they may change after Brexit) while he was talking with a client. I also asked him about it and he said he doesnt see how there is anything in the rules that says a club can sign a player permanently outside of the two windows.
