Why are some fans singing this claptrap? Take a look at the table. By my reckoning there are only 7 Championship teams who have won more away games than Town this year admittedly, we have lost a fair few though). What must our players think when they hear this? So much of the repertoire was odd or just wrong. I think the worst part was that the only people going on about Mick was them.
Very pleasing to hear people trying to get them away from it, but even once we scored it was back to him for a few of them. Surely the fact that home form was a defining factor for his exit meant most of them would probably assume we don't win away.
A lot of people who went last minute probably don't go to many aways is my guess. There was a sense of "being there" for the first game after McCarthy had gone judging by a few. It seemed the day was still all about him oddly enough. |  |

It’s cringeworthy to sit there and have to listen to most of the crap that gets chanted to be honest. I like a chant, but not so much when this bunch of dimwits chant nonsense. I’m just grateful that they’re all too young to remember when we were good because they probably would have ruined that the atmosphere at away game during that period too.

Well quite, it's idiotic and takes no account of our recent away record. Part of the problem with this season is that people are so fed up they've concluded we're far worse than the slightly dull mid-table side we are.

It's hardly a dodgy chant though is it. People moan about lack of atmosphere and when some noise is made its the wrong sort, not clever enough, not good enough or original to us. Or if you do start to sing you get looked at as some sort of annoying weirdo, which may be true in my case. If people don't like it rather than just stand there moaning come up with something.

To be fair, that was one song out of many. And in the grand scheme of things, really not that bad.
Thought generally on Saturday the support was really good. Everyone kept singing when we were up and then even at the end when decided to chuck the game. Pretty much all the chants were positive. [Post edited 16 Apr 2018 7:58]
