Something Norwich fans have yet to explain 17:49 - Dec 17 with 4275 viewsBobbychase

I get all the "14 years unbeaten" nonsense, because if you haven't got any real honours you have to make them up.

But at one point yesterday they were singing "2-1 in your cup final" which implies it was a big day for us, playing a bigger club we didn't have a chance against.

And yet it was them defending for their lives for most of the second half and celebrating a draw like it was a win.

So which is it? Our cup final or yours? You can't have both.

Although I've always regarded Chris Sutton as a complete knobend, I actually thought his post match comments yesterday were absolutely spot on. He admitted that we are a much better team than Noj, and that they would gladly swap places with us. First time for everything I suppose.

I don’t think posting on your rivals forum quite portrays the ‘we really don’t care’ narrative you’re going for..

Of course it was disappointing. No one is denying that but much of the disappointment was tempered by the obvious stark difference in trajectory of the two clubs.

It was incredibly comforting to see you playing Barnes. The type of signing we would have made under Evans.

So yes, disappointing clearly but at the same time it was incredible to see the 180 from when we were really an irrelevance to you when you were going for promotion and we were mid table at best. Many of us said we would rather beat Leeds than you. It's not that we're moving the goalposts, it's just that we have much bigger goals than beating you. I think you will agree that when you were going for promotion games against us were not your number one priority.

Truly impaired.

In 2nd place after 20 or so games, 10 points ahead of 3rd place we draw at home to a half decent mid table side. A disappointing result but not a disaster. We were on top for most of the game, missed some gilt edged chances and they scored 2 goals which could be described as fortuitous. We go again next Saturday and put this one behind us. I’m confident it won’t have a massive influence on our season. I sincerely hope and expect we won’t be playing them next season

You are correct, we were gutted yesterday. Gutted that we didn’t finish off the worst team to visit Portman Road this season and quite a few of the ones last season were better than you.
It’s only you lot that worry about this obsession with us. We have bigger fish to fry.
Merry Christmas.

I thought it was '2-1 on your big day out' which is even more weird..of course its our big day out, their's too. Always has been, always will be, the only rivalry that matters in East Anglia.
If the return game isn't their big day out they might as well pack up cos they have f all else to get out of the season.
Must improve their banter if they want to hurt.
Oh and it is so cold in their shadow..hating every minute of it

Haven’t even played them for five seasons the past is irrelevant. What matters this season is we could go up automatically, at worst the playoffs. Got Norwich it’s mid table boredom as per last season with a small chance of finishing 6th. Their highlight of the season was yesterday!

We were disappointed not to get 3 points against a lower mid-table side that we dominated. It was mitigated against by Leeds doing the same with Coventry later.

Well done on achieving the draw to extend your unbeaten run. I understand you are counting the days and it is over 5000. Well done. Must be quite something for your participation board.

We were indeed but you see when two sides get the same goals as each other, that’s what’s called a draw where no one wins. Anyway we’re not allowed to mention history but you are so I’ll pipe down.

I think it's probably more accurate to say that you were desperate to keep the 'run' (if we really must call it that) going because, let's be honest, it's all you've got left.

You were rubbish yesterday, just as you've been rubbish for most of the season, and on your current trajectory you'll be back in League One soon if you're not careful.

Genuine question.

You've had the better of the last 20 years

Numerous promotions. Seasons in the prem etc

And you're not lost to us in 14 years as you point out.

You've one of the biggest wages bills in the league

Signed your star midfielder for £6 mill

Why on earth were you celebrating a draw to a side who got relegated to league 1. Spent years trying to get out of it. Got out of it and now You've drawn against them..

Isn't that embarassing? To draw with a side you deem far far below you.
