No shame in not dominating Leicester but badly missing our spine in working the ball out from the back, Burgess ability with the long ball in behind, Morsy showing for it always, and Hursts hold up ability.
We’re still in it though, let’s hope KM can make a few adjustments to get us back in it
I didn’t think the first one was offside until I saw the playback, he was definitely offside. And as for the second one, how is the player right in from of Hladky and beyond the last defender not interfering - shocking officiating.
How good were we tonight. The attacking side and playing out from the back will get lots of attention (with good reason) but watching the shape and organisation to keep that clean sheet was really impressive, in a way we haven’t been in home matches against Leeds, Cardiff and Blackburn. Yet another example of the way McKenna addresses things which can be better.
I’m being forced to listen to them, for some reason. Summariser is Giles Coke, whose comments are the equal of his footballing impact at Town. Commentator has zero knowledge of ITFC,
that we’re down to the bare bones in midfield and up front. KM had literally no options to change Morsy or Humphries, and only Jackson and Ahadme, who is only just back from injury, to replace the front 3. Of that 3 we know Ladapo has been struggling, so whoever led the line wasn’t 100%, and there was no Aluko, Harness or TJJ to bring on.
Any squad would struggle with that situation, maybe we will have better kuck in the second half of the season
