Luongo - different class 17:07 - Feb 25 with 3096 viewsWestcountryblue

Barely gave the ball away in that second half and oozed class. He takes us to another level.

He looked sharp.

Thought we should have gone for him in Summer, he's class at this level.

It has been great that Humphreys has got as much game time as he has. If between them they can do enough to get us up and for Humphreys to progress would be good for the club.

At this moment of time, agreed.
Good decision from the club to ease Luongo back in slowly after a long spell without playing football. He'd be absolutely cooked playing 90 minutes on a pitch like that.

Disagree, Humphreys is passing is much more decisive than Luongo, but both are key to the rest of our season.

Not sure about that, all is saw is when he came on we looked solid, first half they waltzed through the middle on a few occasions.

The only Muff in Town.

Completely different class… we’d be top if we’d had him all season (n/t) on 20:39 - Feb 25 with 2102 viewsunstableblue

Spot on. Humphries is going to be one helluva player and hopefully for us, but for the past two games, we've looked much stronger in midfield when Luongo came on. I'd like to see Luongo start the next game and Humphries to come on in the second half.

I suppose KM thought having Morsy, Evans, Camara (who was a stand out player last season), Ball and Humphries would have more than covered it. Just unlucky the way things have panned out with injuries. In hindsight it would have been good, but then we'd have missed him for the first half of the season through injury so all swings and roundabouts.

Was chatting to a Sheff Weds fan when they were down here and they rated him very highly, said he was one of the best players in their team last season! He thought if we could get him fit it could be the difference for us!

He'll definitely be a calming influence trying to close out games.

He's still a way off fitness, though, a few times he waltzed back a bit, so we're easing him in nicely.

Exactly how it should be. Humphreys has done well overall to step up and play so many games this season, he's still learning his trade. It always amazes me how some will go hugely overboard with a new signing. Luongo is 30 years old, if he can help to get us up then that's great, but he's not the long term solution in our CM, but he'll help Humphreys to develop as a player. Bottomline, there's a reason why Luongo is playing with us in L1 and not playing at a higher level.

A fit Luongo is just what we need right now..
Thought he really imposed himself on the MF and snuffed out, their threat through the middle, where we had a few scares first half...

Looks a good player. I thought he was going to be one of those misfits at first, but then something changed.
