Do you think the increasing social media, podcasts, blogs, videos, feeds are… 09:25 - Oct 4 with 1353 views | unstableblue | …. Making us fans more rabid? I think those fans who frequent this board are already in the ‘committed fan’ category And some of us have been on here a long time, and committed months of our lives to it But I was just wandering is the increase in social media and other media feeds about Town now increasing our commitment and obsession with the club and its fortunes to whole new levels Football support in this country seems to rising to whole new levels of intensity I for one love and drink in things like Town in 5, all KOA, listening to blue Monday before bed etc Indeed I think KOA are such a rich vein of form that’s it’s just good media full stop So I guess I’m asking do you think your fanaticism to ITFC reached new levels due to this constant enagagement with Town content? Or is it a combination of that and just how bloody brilliant Town are at the movement? As a club, a manager, a set of players, a team.

Can't be bothered with the largely pointless circus around the game. I like discussing the game on here and hearing people's views. But we've all got incomplete info and limited insight so seems like massively diminishing returns to try and stretch the material beyond that.

Ooh! Just to say, Town in 5 is an excellent addition, and a great behind-the-scenes and intimate view of the game.

Do you think the increasing social media, podcasts, blogs, videos, feeds are… on 10:08 - Oct 4 with 1179 views | N2_Blue | Town in 5 is excellent as is a lot of media work the club do and i like the official club interviews that are done...and then of course our own Phil Ham. Can't say I'm interested in any of the podcasts, i know some are meant to be ok (but i don't know which ones so stay away from them all) I just have no real interest in non-media professionals chatting away and all trying to out do each other in terms of coverage and what news they break, that element really puts me off so i just stay away from them. I'm sure it means i miss some good aspects as well as the dirge but the club and Twtd news is all i need personally.

He seems harmless, but his football knowledge is atrocious and it just cringes me out. Andy Warren and Stuart Watson are exceptional though and I have no issue with Heath.

Broadly agree. I stick to here, twitter and the more interesting official Town content - and even that is stretching itself thin with the new Sunday Stroll feature. (Dare I say, Keogh wasn’t very interesting). The various pods serve their purpose but a lot of it is no more than bloke in a pub “I reckon, right” hot air. And given the copious amounts of content pumped out seemingly every hour, who’s got time to consume it all?

Do you think the increasing social media, podcasts, blogs, videos, feeds are… on 10:22 - Oct 4 with 1119 views | itfcjoe | I was reading something interesting about how todays soceity allows people to become more insular and more focussed on niche topics, and generally more anti-social in the real world. If you are into something it is now very easy to find a community that also is ad interact with them and any time of night or day, I do for a few things like football shirt collecting...... .....but we are lucky that our fanaticism is for something that actually is community based and brings people together - I've got more genuine friends from podcasting, posting on here, Twitter etc that allow me to socialise more around football - rather than becoming more insular with it. So overall, we are all more obsessed, but unlike many it allows us to form proper friendships opposed to virtual ones

There’s been good investment within the media department with all new equipment, new cameras, mics etc and more manpower.

Same. Although that Pompey fan video from the match at the weekend was a good watch - more to just see the match from their perspective than from any opinions though. I'm not fussed about podcasts - I get more than enough info off here from Phil. If anything significant happens in a podcast (like an owner interview) it normally gets linked on here anyway.

Do you think the increasing social media, podcasts, blogs, videos, feeds are… on 11:56 - Oct 4 with 891 views | LeBlue | I do like KOA, always think it is well balanced and articulately presented. Blue Monday is also good but sits in 2nd spot for me. Talking Town - don't know what it is but I can't really warm to it. They seem to have too many shows and not enough content to fill them. Always seem to be trying to be a bit sweary and edgy which really doesn't work well. In the written form, TWTD is my go to for accurate and timely information. Phil and Gav do a great job.
Do you think the increasing social media, podcasts, blogs, videos, feeds are… on 12:00 - Oct 4 with 863 views | Coastalblue | I'm not sure if I'm consuming any more media around Town than I used to, it's just the method of consumption that has changed. I can remember going to work at an early job and the first task of the day, every day, was to get a coffee and then read the sports pages of the EADT. Two coffees on a Monday morning. Now that happens on my phone, either browsing here or listening to a BM pod if driving. I struggle to remember a time before I checked this place out every couple of days at least though.

Do you think the increasing social media, podcasts, blogs, videos, feeds are… on 12:12 - Oct 4 with 843 views | dirtyboy | Even though (I assume) there's no association, TWTD and KOA feel like they sit nicely together in terms of delivery. Town in 5 is briliant and the Sunday Stroll segment is a really good idea, although, I feel terrible, but Keogh was not exactly lighting up the ears with stories and excitement (unlike someone like Jimmy Bullard would have been), that said.....the more fans see of players and know about them, the better the connection felt and that definitely translates across platforms and to the club. Lots of good content all around though, don't think it makes us more rabid, just more aware and therefore better informed (generally) and feel more part of what is still a community club and currently bringing together 25k+ people each week.
Do you think the increasing social media, podcasts, blogs, videos, feeds are… on 12:46 - Oct 4 with 698 views | DJR | I was unaware of this website, KOA, Blue Monday etc until the Covid season but watching every game on I-follow rekindled my passion for the Town, as well as making me an avid consumer of TWTD, KOA, Blue Monday, because there was not much else to do during the various lockdowns. But the transformation of the club has undoubtedly helped. Indeed, last season, after 50 years of supporting Town, I bought my first season ticket, despite living a couple of hours away, and not attending many games in recent years, partly due to family commitments. So, I think the answer to your question in my case is yes, but the transformation of the club also plays a big part.
Do you think the increasing social media, podcasts, blogs, videos, feeds are… on 14:09 - Oct 4 with 564 views | andehpandeh | I can't stand the podcasts since there's only so much you can say about one match. However, since I now live a solid 300 miles away from Portman Road, I enjoy taking in the atmosphere on Alex Griffin's videos after we've played at home. I'll just skip to that point and not bother with the pre/post-match guff. As for ITFC's content they're churning stuff out like no one's business, another one out this afternoon showing the FIFA ratings for Fridge Woolfy and Davis, probably not everyone's cup of tea but it gives a small insight into the players' personalities which just makes me feel a lot closer to the club.
