Decent signings in the Evans era 10:10 - Feb 3 with 6596 views | hype313 | Reading that article about Lamberts signings got me thinking, who have we signed that has been a success in the Evans era? Waghorn, Murphy, Cresswell and Mings are the stand outs, but after that I'm struggling.

Decent signings in the Evans era on 10:12 - Feb 3 with 3662 views | Dubtractor | Someone with too much time on their hands should make a list of every single ME era signing and rank them. Any volunteers? Its going to be a long old list. FWIW I think McAuley was a decent signing.

Yep, good shout, I have obviously missed a few key ones, but, as you say, if we look at all the signings in his time, you would be hard pushed to get more than a 10% success rate.

Forgot about him, he seemed to come and go quite quickly, but he's done very well since.

Berra was ok as well. Not at the level of McA, but decent compared to what we've had since. Delaney. He started badly for us on the left but was ok in the middle and went on to have a decent career in the PL. A long list of signings, but a short list of successes i expect.

Decent signings in the Evans era on 10:32 - Feb 3 with 3587 views | Swansea_Blue | McGoldrick. Although another one who did better after he left us (I spot a theme emerging!).

I was thinking about adding him, but It would be hard pushed to call him a success.

Decent signings in the Evans era on 10:39 - Feb 3 with 3560 views | itfcjoe | I think you could say that our best window was Mick's first summer here - Skuse, McGoldrick, Murphy, Berra, Tabb, Anderson, Hunt, Gerken, were all good signings Not many that blow you away, but free transfers that get to 100 games, and way past it in some cases are always good signings.

Decent signings in the Evans era on 10:42 - Feb 3 with 3533 views | wkj | Tabb was worth a mention, he was never prolific but was reliable and helped free up others to make runs. He also looked like he was wearing obscenely huge shorts that looked like he had a huge arse. [Post edited 3 Feb 2021 10:42]

Decent signings in the Evans era on 10:58 - Feb 3 with 3484 views | Radlett_blue | McAuley was an excellent signing; idiotically the club allowed him to run down his contract. Some of our fans did nickname him McAwful! Delaney was another quality player whom Keane initially misused as a full back. Most of Jewell's signings were poor. Luke Chambers was a great free transfer, as were McGoldrick & Berra. Mick made plenty of good signings, plus a mass of cheap punts. Bialkowski was a good signing, as was Adam Webster. Waghorn was exceptional. Cresswell & Mings have been obviously documented. KVY is obviously decent, but has been out for over a year. Other than him, the Lambert cupboard is bare.

And they were largely good signings because we had a good manager that knew how to structure a team and get the best out of them.
Decent signings in the Evans era on 11:12 - Feb 3 with 3427 views | BlueBadger | You probably need three categories: Good, players who came in and were better than expectations(or, if they came with a rep -to expexpectations) - ie, Murphy, Waghorn, Cresswell, Mings, Bart Solid-but-unremarkable - what it says on the tin. Good pros who did a job. Quite often maligned by the football illiterate- so, Chambers, Skuse, Knudsen, Delaney Bad - obviously bad signings or those who didn't live up to the hype - ie Oar, Judge, Martin, Coke, Priskin

Come on now, Judge is tearing up the division.
