granary rolls for bacon buttie on 15:37 - Dec 10 by wkj | Just to finish you off, I went to a car boot the other day and the chap in front of me put mayonnaise on his bacon butty. |
No, you see, that's the difference. He needed drowning in his own cup of tea.

You lost all credibility by backing ketchup in the bacon buttie debate.

Classic hipster slander. You can take your instagrammed sugar puffs served on a wooden board and shove it.

Honestly mate, you're out of your depth here. Ketchup on bacon and mustard, (preferably powered, mixed with a little water, maybe a splash of decent white vinegar), on sausages. Brown sauce in the bin.

After puberty brown sauce is by far the best option. It's for real men like, er, maybe some of the others on here.

Quite. I bet they're the sort of reprobates who have 'mayo' with their chips.

Hello! Sometimes a ketchup mayo mix too. They've even started selling it already mixed but it's not as good as DIY. [Post edited 10 Dec 2019 16:00]

Ban politics on the forum. on 10:39 - Dec 10 by ActionMan | What's the point of you? |
Good Question, well asked: The 'point of you' could be through the being interpretation best rationalised by Plato where he believed all human beings naturally desired eudaemonia through moral thought and actions by way of virtue. The Greeks called virtue “aretê”- roughly translated to meaning excellence. ... To Plato, a life well lived was achieved by the pursuit of higher knowledge and man's social obligation to the common good. on the other hand we might consider the 'point of you' to be more in the line of the persuite of happiness. This school of thought might think that Aristotle was an advocate of this and it is true that he did teachs that each man's life has a purpose and that the function of one's life is to attain that purpose. He explained that the purpose of life is earthly happiness or flourishing that can be achieved via reason and the acquisition of virtue. I'm noy sure if this completely explains what the 'point of you' is in its entire true meaning, but I do think it helps the debate. But the question wasn't 'what is the point of me'? it is what is the point of you? This begs the question as to whether we can realistically ask someone to state what the point of themselves is. One obvious constraint being whether the person assessing 'the point of you' thinks in terms of solipsism or a broader view. So whilst the question posed is worthwhile, I'm not sure we can answer 'what is the point of you' or even 'what is the point of anyone'. or as someone has just pointed out to me the more important question as to what is 'the point of playing only one up front when you are at home and top of the league' The point of the leasing.com trophy has not been discussed as it is too challenging a question [Post edited 10 Dec 2019 16:29]

I am sufficiently middle class to have mayo on my chips. Got in the habit on a business trip to Antwerp or Anvers for the more french minded. And it works. It is lovely. A bit poncy it is true, and should be reserved for those who are secure in their middle-classiness.

As a general rule, the more aggressively 'non-PC' the 'troll' is, the more likely they are to throw a tantrum that would make the average toddler go 'blimey, steady on mate' when challenged about their views or behaviour in any way.
