Anyone else think they could be relegated this season?

Just thinking about Bournemouth is a cure for insomnia.

Bit early to tell, isn't it? They haven't quite established them in the little group of Europa League wannbees who won't be relegated - Everton, Leicester, West Ham, Wolves (plus maybe Arsenal). Most of the others are potential relegation candidates. Equally too early to tell if there are going to be any hopeless teams who quickly look certainties to be relegated (although I hope Norwich are one of them).

Not impossible, but I would be surprised when they have a settled side, proven goalscorers (especially if Wilson stays fit) and a very good manager.

They're definitely weaker than they have been, but reckon there's weaker sides and poorer coaches for them to drop.

They have some significant injuries. Played badly yesterday but have plenty about them and will stay up.

Interesting that, on the basis of one game, this speculation isn’t about Watford

It’s not based on one game.

Their form tailed off last season and at a quick glance they garnered circa 12 points from the last 14 games or thereabouts

I’ve though that every season since they’ve been up, they don’t take much working out really.

That being said I think they’ve got some real quality up top and will always score goals.

Suggested as much a couple of months ago on here - they haven’t really bought well at all since going up and form tailed off last year. That said, I made that prediction in the expectation they would lose Fraser and perhaps Wilson which hasn’t happened, and I think they’ll have enough goals to be fine

Don’t they do that every season? Get to 40pts then tail off?

I’d say Watford, Sheff Utd and Norwich will be down

Mention of Fraser and Wilson reminds me of another rag tag outfit also down on the south coast (Walmington on sea )

They don't like it up; 'em !!

They certainly started very well last season.

I agree Norwich and Sheffield Utd are likely contenders for the drop.

At the moment I think any of 8 teams stand a good chance of going down
