Hello,
Due to illness and Covid isolation I am offering a family room at the Travelodge South Shore (2/3adults / king size bed plus a sofa bed ) to whoever is interested. Easy access to Fleetwood via the scenic coastal tram journey
This was booked way back last year by myself and another TWTD poster of long standing but we now have to cancel for obvious reasons.
Current rate for a room is £113.. I am offering the room @ cost price £40.

I very much hope that this is just a fallout from the Bank Holiday but popped into town (Staines) this morning and noticed that some aisles had been emptied of "storable staples " Long life milk , tins of fruit/veg/ eggs !!/flour and a few more things with a longer shelf life than most . Mentioned this to a lady on the checkout and she reckoned that it had been manic over the weekend and was likely to get worse with Brexit panic buying. .*
Sure I read that one of the leading supermarkets were planning on a bit of rationing pre 31 October as smaller retailers would be treating the larger guys as wholesalers to ensure a regular supply. Also that the Italians and Germany would be slimming down FMCG,s across the channel just in case of a snarl up nearer to the Brexit date and not wishing to end up with unsaleable stuff rotting away on the M20.
Anybody got any thoughts or experiences of this ??

Just doing a bit of "admin" and sorting out my train tickets for "Nodge" and blow me down those sub species at LESSER/GREATER/ANGLIA/ANGRIER have got bus replacement between LON Liverpool St and Ingatestone again.
A standard journey of 1' 7 is now pushed up to 1'55.
Appears that this is continuing thru' September as well. I thought that all the Crossrail work had been completed or is this something else completely ?
