6 months... what a shame for the lad.

We've got the best midfield in the sick bay.

Best wishes to the lad.

Timing is like when Dozzell got injured, just heading into a potential breakthrough season.

Have to say, it always looked like being more serious that 'just' a dislocation.

Poor bugga. Good luck Tristan!

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

It is a blow, whatever people say the lad has potential I’ve been impressed by him most times I’ve watched him. He could’ve been useful this season in league 1 it’s terrible luck.

He's been a stand out in pre-season, really about to get his career off the ground.

Devastating for him and for fans.

He's still young, a speedy recovery and may be a late role in our promotion!!

Agreed. IMO he was standout in the games at the end of 2017-2018 too. Now looks like he's going to have two wasted seasons in his development on the trot.

Just our luck, and his when he was finally getting his crack into the team after a tricky year away. We can't seem to escape this at the moment.

A real blow. I had him down as the young player likely to improve most over the coming season (perhaps at LWB).

I’ve also been very impressed by Downes this pre season but him and Nydam definitely looked like this was their year to really kick on.

Feel for the lad.

It is incredible the amount of bad luck we are having with long term injuries.

As others have said, hopefully he will get fit and push for a place in early 2020, when we are steaming ahead at the top of the table.

Massive blow for him. Hope he can make a speedy recovery and his head's ok afterwards.

(Yes, I now it's his ankle, but you know what I mean).

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
