3 Months for Bishop 12:27 - Jul 17 with 4045 viewsNo_Moore_Kieffer

Not a season ender, but looking at around 3 months out with the injury. Thankfully it's not a major ACL injury like Freddie had, so should be back around October/November time

I've said it 10 times before and I will say it again, he isn't strong enough to play football at this level.
Would make a decent little 5 a side player once a week.
His tendons and connective tissues are made of paper mache.
He just looks frail.

Glad it isn't an ACL, obviously, but still a really big blow for us and him this season

Yes and therefore it is probably accurate.

A great pity that we will be missing Bishop for three months but I suppose that it could have been even worse.

With what have still got to be doubts about Huws' fitness and with doubts about whether Judge will be here the midfield does not look quite so good now.

If that's the case I can only see him playing a handful of games this season as he will have to be eased back in...again.

Yep. He's missing another preseason which is where you build the strength and fitness needed to play through the season. That means that when he comes back there will be the risk of further breakdowns. I hate to say it, but I'm just not convinced he'll ever be a first team regular here again. He can't stay fit for more than a few months, which is such a shame for him and us.

with the number of midfielders we have rotating him every 5th game would work.

For all the hype about "best midfield in the division", you just know that once Huws stubs his toe and Judge goes to QPR we'll be lining up with Skuse, Downes and Dozzell in midfield.

Not that that's an awful combo, but it's hardly going to make up for our crocked defence or nonexistent forward line.

Psychologically more than physically for him I guess too. A real shame, but thankfully that part of the pitch is one area where we have decent options

You would hope that this strengthens the club's resolve to hold onto Judge.

Really bad news, and gutted for Teddy.
Three months out, but then you have to get back into match fitness etc, so I would say maybe he could be back shortly before Christmas?
Let´s just pray that we can have a bit of luck on the injury front from now on? Please God?

Warky once nearly broke my leg in a 5 a side game. It was my fault for trying to tackle him, but given I was about 13 or whatever, getting clobbered by the great man was an honour.

Marvelous!

Losing two big players to fairly long term injuries before the season has started.

It's going to be a long season isn't it?

Doubt he’ll play more than 10 games this season. Good job we’ve got players who can play where he does, got a feeling we’ll be jinxed with injuries again this season
