Let's face it he isn't earning anything at the moment apart from his few appearances as a pundit on Sky. He did appear to have put on quite a bit of weight when I saw him.

Could we bring him in as a player/specialist goalscoring coach? Get our strikers and midfielders able to convert every chance on offer. That was some of what I hoped we were going to get with Walters.

Just that we have two fit strikers. He knows the club and would at least give his all, compared to other free agents happy to pick up a final pay check.

I suspect he really doesn't in terms of the wages otherwise he would've just signed with Burton when they offered him a deal and he was already there. The fact it was supposedly a pay as you play deal suggests his fitness is not to be trusted - and we don't need another player like that. Much better to use Lankester or similar if we get stuck to be honest. |
Yeah good points, I can see a case either way to be honest.

I think that probably includes anyone coming in atm. This was a perfect chance if we had some ideas to get someone in and training.
You know what will happen though, we will get more injuries and then we will sign him up and he will be hopelessly off the pace and these 2 weeks would have been ideal. |  | | |
