Not bad, eh? I’m surprisngly chipper this morning, considering. Just chuckling remembering the NS getting Luke Chambers to do a muted fist pump while he was trying to do the punditry yesterday in the build up. Good to see him getting the love he deserves. Other highlights? Al-Hamadi leading a sing song on the pitch. KM thanking his family. The weather. The non-lairy atmosphere in the town. Great stuff. |

Leeds lost today, massive lolz. And I have to say, I was very, very — very, drunk. |

Depends on the result… if we somehow don’t make it, I’m going home. If not, probably into town first… Arcade tavern, then down St Nicholas Street. I don’t particularly like Isaacs, but I’m guessing the players will turn up there. Might be a case of see where the evening takes you! |
| Forum Thread | Anyone else get an email from the club about their direct debit today? at 16:37 2 May 2024
“The Club has been made aware of an issue with the first payment of your Direct Debit for the 2024 Season Ticket associated with your account. If you have multiple Season Tickets associated with your account, it is likely this issue has impacted each ticket. “Please be assured we are working with your bank to resolve this issue and you are not required to do anything.” And yes, there is money in my account, thanks |

Been thinking about what makes our style of football so distinctive. ✅ Play out from the back in an effort to play through a press ✅ Move the ball quickly to forward areas once we’ve done that ✅ Really aggressive, organised pressing from our midfield and attackers to win the ball back in forward positions ✅ Flood attacking areas with players, inc. one of the centre backs ✅ Well drilled patterns (Hladky > Morsy > Centre back) and set pieces (Davis corner into the near post for Burns or Chaplin) ✅ Technique to take risks in retaining the ball and playing tight passes ✅ Never say die attitude ✅ Fitness ✅ Organisation and discipline: we generally just accept refereeing decisions once they’re made, for example, Morsy walking yellow card tightropes ✅ Team and work ethic ✅ Freedom for attacking players to “express themselves” It’s more Bielsa than Guardiola, and all the better for that. When all these things fire at once, as they have on many occasions this season, we’re unbeatable. But even when only some are working – like in the last few games – that’s often enough. I think the patterns and getting the ball quickly have been misfiring a bit recently: between say the attacking midfielders and other players, and even when Morsy’s mistake led to a Hull goal. We’re also a bit more likely to see Hladky lob a ball up to Kieffer Moore. There can’t have been many better coached and organised teams at this level of football before. I really don’t see why Man U wouldn’t consider him once ETH is booted out. |

[Checks mortgage] £170,000 and it’s yours. Then I’d upgrade my son’s U19 ticket to an adult one for £10.61. He’s got his whole life ahead of him. |
| Forum Thread | Unbelievable the good will I’m getting from other teams’ fans at 13:47 1 May 2024
online and at work. Just had a call which had some Brum, Brighton and Sheff U fans on it and they were all wishing us luck for Sat. Wish we could bottle this feeling… Obviously want to get promotion, but *this* moment, after so much dross and before we (possibly) make it to the PL with its VAR and other rubbish… is perfect. |
| Forum Thread | FÜCK VAR at 18:16 21 Apr 2024
Thought it looked offside, but then the actual replay was so marginal it shouldn’t have been given. Few less likeable clubs than Man U. Anyway, be even better if Cov win it on penalties. |

Can’t get enough of it 😂 The number of permutations and what-ifs I’ve thought through… I do genuinely think our break is a good thing. Everyone else can just fight it out among themselves. |

and motivation really is pointless. Come on! It’s in our hands whatever. Anyway… For me the key game is Boro Leeds. If Boro win that, Leeds are going to be in trouble. Southampton drawing with Cardiff is the best possible result. Enough to keep them hypothetically in it, and up for the Leicester and Leeds games, especially if Leeds lose on Monday. Southampton then beat Leicester. Huddersfield losing today and are as good as gone – there to be picked off on the last day of the season. Come on Watford! Be good to have Hull losing form before they face us. Also be good if Coventry beat Man U, and focus just on the cup final. We’re going up! |
| Forum Reply | Attack on free speech in Brussels at 20:02 17 Apr 2024
🤷♂️ Not really about freedom of speech when it comes to fascism, which has nothing to do with discussing ideas. A mayor saying he doesn’t want fascists gathering in his city is not fascism. Like I say, I couldn’t care less if this is seen as a gift to Farage. If anyone supports him that’s their choice and they can fúck off as well. |
| Forum Reply | Attack on free speech in Brussels at 11:03 17 Apr 2024
Got nothing against cracking down on fascists gathering tbh. Couldn’t give a fúck what Farage thinks — damage was done by the BBC and everyone legitimising him for 30 years 🤷 |
