I think so much depends on where each individual relegated team is at. I wasn't sure how Burnley were going to do this season particularly with a new Manager and a change in playing style - yet absolutely fair play to them, they totally bossed it. Agree that Forest could be in a measure of disarray if they go down. I'm really hoping McKenna is loving life here and with promotion feels that we continue to match his ambitions, progression and pathway |

I agree with this. Part of my reflection on how we do is around players like Luongo, Burns and Broadhead. They have been very dominant and very impressive. Burns and Broadhead have performed well for Wales too. I'd just like to add a couple of really top end Championship players who would be dominant at the next level. |

Hadn't thought about those coming down from PL. You'd imagine teams like Everton and Southampton, were they to drop, would be dominant in the Championship. Although, not always a given depending on where they are at |

McKenna impresses me so much in his tactical awareness and knowledge of the game. I honestly think he will be one of the strongest managers in the league and in his approach. The recruitment, particularly the January window, was outstanding and if that continues the team will continue to grow. It feels to me like all the ingredients are there to be successful. It's just hard to gauge how much of a step up it is. Although Coventry and Sunderland show that it's perhaps not too big a step up in levels. We also gained a lot playing against Burnley. I'm feeling that we will be very competitive |

Like everyone, so proud of this team and the Manager. Just really interested to know how we think this team will do next year in the Championship. I suspect the ownership group will be serious in their intent. How far are we currently from being a top 6 Championship side? |

So with this in mind, it seems then the issue is not with the system or with his attacking style based on his previous teams. I guess it is something else more specific to this team this year. Is it that we haven't quite clicked yet or that we haven't quite got all the jigsaw pieces yet? |

I don't know enough about PC's previous teams at Portsmouth and Wigan but do we know if they had a similar issues? I completely agree re your comments regarding transfer window and hardened players. |

It's such a difficult balance isn't it - I loved Joe Royal's team from an attacking perspective. I think Burley over time got the balance absolutely right. We probably are not that far away right now - but we just seem a bit soft |

Rarely do I ever post, but I feel frustrated right now. My instinct is that when PC arrived the better approach would have been to evolve the squad and to build from the back. I think we were fairly solid defensively last season - why not build from there as a base? I think PC has put himself under unnecessary pressure by taking the demolition approach. The team going forward is much more exciting however the team defensively is weaker. Hoping this side of things improves. I found Saturday's result incredibly frustrating! |

I would have really liked to have had Burley as the vision he shared for the post really resonated with me. I think he would have reconnected the club with the fans, really developed our best youngsters into first team players and re-introduced the values of the club. I am sad that this didn't even seem to be seriously considered by ME. I feel it right to support PH as I did MM but if Burley was reappointed here I would have genuine hope. |

I agree that it sets the tone - I remember years ago at PR the Wolves team running out - they looked proper focused. They beat us that day - I remember that they brought their own mascot who stood in front of the North Stand visitors section with big atmosphere. Randomly remember the Captain of Wolves having an 80s perm. Funny what you take in when you were a kid in the Churchmans! |

We live outside of the county but are camping in the vicinity next week. Thought I might like to take the kids to the training ground but never done that before. Is it legit to do so and what's the best time to go etc [Post edited 18 Aug 2018 10:46]
