If we won 1-0 at Hull in February 2021, the 5-2 couldn’t have been our only win at their new ground….? |

Except I picked up at bug at Posh a few days earlier and wasn't feeling well. The journey was a struggle, even the pre-match beers were a struggle. The match perked me up though.... |

Johnny Lyall's blue and white army! "We've had a good day, now please all go home and we will have a celebration next Saturday at Portman Road" (or words to that effect). |

Unlikely as they will have sold tickets to home fans for all areas of the stadiums and it will be a nightmare trying to clear them out of any additional area(s) they might want to give us. And the match is only five days away, so there is little time to do that. |

Hull all day long, although I don’t think they’ll make it. I think I can reluctantly handle not going up, but if they fluke their way up after the season we and they have had, it would ensure the banter era can never be killed. [Post edited 25 Apr 13:40]

We should have won comfortably at Portman Road. At their place, both sides were poor and they won with a fluky free-kick that was somehow allowed to creep in. |

Tried to get a result and lost by one goal thanks to incompetent officials. Whereas Southampton have rolled over. |

There was always a feeling we were a striker short at the end of the August window and we would be in trouble if anything happened to Hirst. In some ways we were lucky he lasted as long as he did without getting injured / suspended / losing form. |

Yep. Leicester lucking their way through a game they should have drawn at best if WBA had taken any of the million chances they had, and Leeds fluking their way through thanks to an offside goal has made life a lot harder for us. |

Sorry, I was replying based on the theory we miss out… and if we miss out, two sides will have a better points tally and / or GD than us. |

Yes. While at the start of the season, we would have all settled for the POs, when you progress through a task, there is nothing wrong with revising your ambitions and goals upwards if it’s going better than expected. It’s frustrating that we will have a points tally that would usually see a team get promoted in other seasons. But we are not playing in other seasons, we are playing in this one. And the fact is that two other sides will have more points and / or a higher goal difference than us. |
