I can't let an opportunity like this go without recommending my own books. The first one is pretty much a parody book but (I would say) a reasonable and quick read. The second and third are much more serious action/crime stories and far superior in quality (I learnt a lot writing the first, including what I actually want to write about). I could watch an hour long version of that. Let's be honest, we could easily fill an hour of short clip highlights from the last two seasons. |

Any chance we can announce a Chinese style building project on the Cobbold stand to see the capacity increased by 5k+ in the next six weeks? |

I'm moving back to Suffolk over the summer after 7 years away (and have been planning it for a while). I always assumed I'd get a season ticket, and after last season was looking forward to seeing a great season of championship football with my boy (currently 5). To be honest, the double promotion has really stitched me up! |
| Forum Thread | Record consecutive seasons points at 06:56 1 May 2024
Morning all, and what a morning. I've been reading and watching everything I can on last night since the minute I woke up and it got me thinking. A while back someone mentioned getting 90 points for consecutive seasons and what an achievement it is. Does anyone know what the record points total for consecutive seasons is? 90 has been achieved a few times in consecutive seasons in the prem (Chelsea and Man City have done it). |

In her wisdom, my mum arranged a holiday for me and my siblings to visit our family in Belgium during the week of the playoff final in 2000. I sat in the car and listened to a remarkably clear 5 Live signal for the match and ran into the back garden to update her on the score throughout. I'm not sure how much she cared about the game, although I think she was very relieved I could at least listen to it. |

I'd love to come along (if I can be available, that's still in negotiation...). I'll keep an eye on the thread to see where you decide. I'm only 15 minutes from the centre of MK, so it's easy for me to get to. |
| Forum Reply | Self-publishing on Amazon. at 14:20 20 Nov 2023
I've self-published 3 books, all on Amazon and all for Kindle and paperback (and one hardback as I fancied a copy of it myself in hardback). It's easy to do, but hard to do successfully (in my limited experience). I think to make any real money you need a large(ish) advertising budget (a lot more than my basically zero budget) and a lot of time to do your marketing. I have a friend who does it as a full time job and she is making over £100k a year from it - she's written nearly 40 books now and was in the fortunate position that she didn't need to work when she started, so could dedicate the time to it. You need to be good on social media and good at promoting yourself - two things I have no skill or interest in. If you have any specific questions, feel free to message me - I'll help how I can and buy it as well (as I know the struggle!) |

After a year or so of (very slow) edits, my third novel in the Paddy McAlpin series is now available. Many years ago, with the massive help of TWTD, my first book hit number one in whatever category it was in at the time. Whilst I'm not expecting anything like that this time, if one or two of you decide to give it a try, I'll be very pleased. There are a few characters named after town players, so added enjoyment for you there. Thanks for your support. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Deluge-Paddy-McAlpin-Chronicles/dp/B0CL4QK274/ref=sr_1_ |

You would have thought both could have one as surely most clubs use a multi-ball system these days. Don't they? |

Meant to add that I'm not disheartened either. There was a lot to be positive about. |

There's an awful lot of well reasoned responses to that defeat. My first game since MK away and I think it showed that if we want to compete at the very top end of the league, sure, we need some top quality signings, but that in reality, we competed with a very strong Leeds side who came down from the Prem and if we don't sign anyone else, we'll be fine. Leeds were clinical, we weren't. We made a few poor defensive errors and they didn't. On another day, the result could have been different, but was probably the deserved result for today. |

How good is it to see highlights with replays and multiple camera angles! Also, hard to miss how Burns picked out his man on a number of crosses. |
