| Your Report | Hull City v Ipswich Town Your Report added by NITFC at 23:24:36 Shame about all of these negative comments. I was there and thought it was an amazing match. Proud of our players. Just watched his interview on Life's a Pitch. Glad to see him looking so well for his age and still out and about doing things. Really hope we go up , would be amazing for him to see us in the top flight once again replicating what Alf and the lads did in 62 next year. |

What a great game to watch. If we do go up (and like everyone I hope we do), i'm really going to miss this fantastic league. Of course we want to be there for the money and kudos, but you can be sure we won't get the superb games we've had this season. |

I was getting too much into the TWTD forum and there were way too many negative comments on there. It made me alter my view on it, and instead of dreading the Hull match, I was looking forward to it and actually enjoyed the match. The only way to look at things (considering that we can't alter the past) is that before this round of matches we needed three wins to guarantee promotion, now we need a draw and a win. Let's enjoy the Coventry match against a side that are hopefully not as up for it as Hull were. I think a lot of people would settle for a point, but I'm hopeful of a win. If we play like we did against Hull I'm more than confident we will win given a little bit of luck. |
| Forum Thread | So what can we actually expect from Coventry then? by ITFCBlues at 21:32 28 Apr 2024
Looking at the side they put out at Blackburn, that still looks fairly strong to me. Wright, Simms, O'Hare & Palmer are all good players at this level. I hope that Sheaf is still missing from their midfield - he's always looked a good player when i've seen him. They're also missing a few players at the back, so hopefully we might be able to take advantage of that. I guess we just don't know what side will turn up - are they on the beach or will they be committed to getting a result? |

Bit of a deja vu feeling now as I recall Bradford City were 2nd in First Division and we were in 3rd place. Bradford had to drop points at Wolves and we had to win against Sheffield Utd for automatic promotion to the Prem and we won the game 4.1. Bradford City were winning 3.2 and Wolves hit the post in the last few minutes, but the word went around our ground that Wolves had scored and we were up sparking mad celebration, but sadly that was not the case. We then lost the play off semi final against Bolton on away goals FFS after losing 1.0 at Bolton and then beating them 4.3 at PR under George Burley's management. 4 points over next 2 games will be enough to avoid play off nightmare and get back into the Prem once again. Last night took more out of me than I thought it would. Couldn't sleep when I got home, then a nap in the afternoon. Think my age may dictate away games from now on. I ain't anywhere near as young as my brain thinks I am. Good night all and keep the faith. Everything is going to be just fine. |

Check out Southampton’s line up and Martin’s comments post Stoke. Leeds are pretty much guaranteed 3 points next Saturday ( although we all know nothing is guaranteed in this league) so we need to be on it for the remainder of the season. A relegated Huddersfield (99.9% certainly) will be a banana skin we can do without. In KMcK we trust. |

…and my brain fully computed, that really wasn’t a bad result last night. Hull played well enough to win and many a Ipswich side in the past would have lost by a couple of goals or so. Draw against Coventry and beat Huddersfield - we would have taken that three weeks ago let alone at the beginning of season. COYB. |

But we're taking it in this context - IpswichT62OldBoy, we might not get an opportunity like this for years and basically we've been gifted this by Leeds, it's the here and now what counts not what's gone before (though that has been good). |

Didn't put a foot wrong last season. Gets injured in August and Hladky comes in and has the season of his life. Has to sit on the bench watching what we have done this season. Perils of being a goalkeeper I suppose. |
