Can't see what Lambert so pissed off about, we must have the biggest wage bill in the league apart from maybe Sunderland, who else would be paying more? Whenever I hear these football finance experts on the radio the general opinion is the best predictor of where a team will end up in the table is pretty much correlated to the wage budget. The players we had from last season must be on a good wedge, even with a relegation clause. Vincent-Young and Norwood must be on decent wages for this level, they were both hot property in the summer, especially Norwood given the season he's just had and on a free so could talk to anyone.
Nuno at Wolves is the only manager in the premier league who used to be a goalkeeper in his playing days. I can't be arsed going down the leagues but I bet there's no more than 5 in the whole 92 who used to play between the sticks.
A video of the after match Fist Pump I recorded came up on my Facebook memories. Looked it up, we beat Charlton 3-0 to stay 2nd in the Championship table going into the new year. It's been downhill after that, ended up limping into the play-offs that season and the slow decline ever since.
Regular drunken annoyances take it to another level plus you've got the once a year crowd out now as well. We'd found empty wraps of coke in the cubicle and someone had to go clear up a flooded gents because someone had thrown up in the sink with the taps running. This was before 8 p.m., not even late. There was a fight last night , big old punch-up apparently.
Being a paramedic, copper, bouncer would be a lot worse though. This weekend before is always the worst for trouble.
Somebody posted about Ginger Baker dying and posted a video from youtube of a nice bit of Cream. I posted this video of Blind Faith Now I know the cover is well dodgy and somebody would be on a list if they tried it now, but posting that has got me a ban.
Sunderland 60. If we have a successful season next year that's a lot more games than we're used to, normally it's the standard 46 and 2 maybe 3 cup matches. With the Checkatrade we're going to be playing Tuesday/Saturday every week.
I love Danny Baker. I think he's a radio genius, been avidly tuning in since the 606 days. Remember ringing him on the old Talk Radio 20 odd years ago now about being tricked into working the burger bars at Wembley for a meaningless England friendly, 15 minute rollacoaster call starting with that then going into lesbian security guards with tight trousers at his local art gallery and a bloke who used have a van doing the Wembley catering called "Fingerless Frank's Mystery Tacos" Pretty much this time last year I had the privilege of seeing him live at Ipswich Regent, superb. 3 and a half hours long show and I don't think anybody would have minded if he'd have carried of for a couple of hours more.
