I don't disagree on the factual elements, but it's a third cup competition when the club desperately needs to ensure all the best players are fit for the promotion challenge, hence it looks and feels like a pre-season friendly, it's just not important to most clubs. | | | |

That's a long way off though isn't it? I'm not sure I said that or even implied that
You do realise some premier league clubs are "that bothered" about the cups until they get to the quarters/semis. The difference there is, they have reserve/youth players whop could actually beat teams.
Of course we all want to see our club win a cup, but what I'm saying is, the Club don't give a toss about it, so why should I be overly bothered?
In fact, a lot of clubs aren't, it isn't just ours. They devalued it as soon as they introduced "bigger" teams under 21s. | | | |

One of the reasons I couldn't give a monkeys about the trophy is that even if we got to the final, most of us wouldn't be going to Wembley. So then you have to ask what it's good for.
