Although most of it is bang on I cannot agree that this squad has quality in it.

Chambers Skuse Judge, total has been's and to be franks never were.
Old journeymen who never got anywhere near the top level and were never likely to.

Huws- 2 years out and never coming back, people need to understand he will never be the player he was and was he ever any good??
Bishop- forget it , boot wearing crane fly who would get injured in a game of monopoly.
Sears- Fiasco, converts about 2% of clear cut chances, my god how bad will he be now without PACE WHICH IS ALL HE HAD TO START WITH.
Norwood, Jackson,keane- just about at their level in league 1 , they wouldn't get a sniff in the championship up against proper defences with organisation and ability.
so where is this QUALITY?
Vincent and Garbutt- both leaving in may, one back to Everton and one to a decent championship club.
Total shambles.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS.

This squad is light years better than anything in this division bar maybe Peterborough’s strike force and even then, they’re one injury away from it being a concern, we’re not.

Some of your other posts make more sense now having read that.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Agreed on the lack of quality in the current squad - otherwise town would not have such a dismal run particularly on home turf - quality squads do not do this.

The baffling thing is the failure to deal with the midfield problem which is now a long term problem

So good that Rotherham made us look like a pub side.

Is it really though? A team that finished bottom of the Championship and some distance from safety. Surely on that basis, Rotherham should be the ones saying their squad is the best in the league? Because we think that our squad is a good one, doesn't actually mean that it in the cold light of day it really is.

Well said. Agree with all that. Our squad really isnt that great. It just keeps getting talked up. But in fact its pretty weak.

You’re talking about a side who were better than us tactically not about individual talent man for man though. Any manager in this league would love our squad. We have the best squad in my opinion. Whether we have the best team will be realized in May.

Not saying anything new here but I think our squad is decent for this level...certainly better than most...but we need to let players play together consistently in a stable formation and get to know each other. I'm not totally opposed to the playing a B team for some of the cup games....gives the fringe players an opportunity for first team football. But let a real first team coalesce in the league at least which I think most agree is our priority.
