Rumours he's having a medical at Leyton orient.

Sorry thought I'd pasted the link. It's on twitter various tweets. Unknown of course how reliable they are.

Yes I know rumours. But thought I'd mention it.

Would be a reasonable place for him to go, side on the up, newly promoted to L1.

Would make sense. I think he's always had a strong bias to stay in the South East and L1 is about his level / the level that would be able to afford to pay him anything. Does somewhat narrow down his options to Orient, Charlton and Pompey.

I'll be pleased to see him gone.

It's on twitter. Different tweets. Doesn't mean it's true of course but just thought worth a mention.

Hope its true, for Pigott if nothing else, but less than reliable, so, if it happens, it happens

That's correct, joining them on a permanent basis. Town contract settled.

Wow. Good luck to him.
Cost us a fortune that though.

Enduringly lovable, intelligent and tremendously exquisite.

Signed him off the back of his best ever season, with only one other season before that being comparable. He had a rough time with his dad passing and he never looked like he was going to work out here. Best of luck to him, hopefully being closer to home will rejuvenate his career.

With the best will in the world, I don't think Pigott was ever going to be the basis for ITFC balancing the books. He was, after all, a free transfer to start off with.

That doesn't mean we have paid him the entirety of his contract, simply that we've come to an agreement, doubt its a huge amount.

RIP Sir Bobby

Not really. One season's wages (Pompey paid for the last one). Plus (as I understand it) payoffs are usually reduced if the player is going on to earn similar elsewhere, so probably not even the whole of the third year.

I actually thought Pigott would do well for us, but that’s how it goes. The good thing is that for him it looks like his future is resolved and for us, he’s off the books.

Reminds me of the Sam Parkin spell, a striker who we took who was scoring really well but never really did for us. I thought Pompey were interested but he was generally on their bench so not a first name on the sheet.
Hope it works out for him. Does that mean we’ll be looking at least one more striker to come in?

We probably supplement the difference between his new wage and his current wage for the remainder of his contract.

We got him on a free and Portsmouth probably paid most his wage last season so not sure as bigger financial loss as people making out.

Poor Parrott! Who will he look to to inspire "convivial bonhomie", "a spirit of fraternity" or "bonds of brotherhood" now?

Wish him well, but his spell here didn't work out for anyone.
