The early yellow card for Burgess ? What the hell was that for ?

Thought he was OK to be honest.

Presumably dissent. Many thought the lino missed an offside.

Yeh, it must have been dissent

I suspect the ref got most calls right but was definitely playing in Brum's niggly, timewasting type trap

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Thought he was fair and unbiased and did ok. There is a tendency to knock the ref after every game

Thought he was fine. Yellow card for Morsy was harsh, but he's not alone in seemingly feeling obliged to book Sam on reputation alone. Otherwise though, thought he was fine.

The only thing it could have been is for dissent?

I actually thought the ref was okay first half. A little inconsistent in what he gave fouls for and what he didn't, but tried to let the game flow.

Second half, not so good. But we have had a lot worse.

Refs have a hard job and a lot of their calls are subjective, so you're never going to please everyone. But when we have won 3-1 I'm gonna give the fella the benefit of the doubt and say he did okay over all....Chaplin should have had a Pen though.

Not the worst we’ve had by any means but still a multitude of inexcusable decisions which in my option make his position as a referee untenable. A clear penalty to us ignored, once again F the EFL.

I thought that the Morsy handball was perhaps the most obvious yellow of the match.

From my vantage point he clearly stuck out an arm to stop a Birmingham break-away.

He got most decisions right.

What was the massive problem with the officials today? Most of the fouls he awarded were correct. Morsy was a 100% booking for deliberate handball.

By his standards he had a decent game, but his standards are pretty low.

I think both teams could quite honestly say he was cr@p. He’d let a blatant foul go, then blow for nothing. At times the decisions he made were so odd I was left feeling he was trying to even things out for a previous error.

That said it was niggly rather than game changing stuff.

The lino on the Cobbold side was terrible, there were a few occasions when he was behind the play and missed some blatant offside calls (including the one that Burgess was booked for).

There was also the incident in the second half where a town player was a good two yards offside and the lino didn't flag until after the ref (who was still in the other half of the pitch) blew up for the offside.

Moray deliberately 'took one for the team'.

Cast iron booking.
