If Chappers is so desperate to score he needs to take more of his chances instead of sky-ing them.

I actually felt if he was to take it that it would be typical that he’d miss!

What’s to see? Strikers want to score goals! However superb man management from KM.

On the one hand you would him to want to score so it's understandable to be miffed if you're the designated penalty taker. On the other it is a bit moany and not a great look, you've just won 4-0.

KMc said the deisgnated penalty taker wasn't on the pitch when it was given, so the designated taker can't be Chaplin (IIRC, he's missed a few).

It made perfect sense to let Ali take it - he'd earnt it, the game was won and it was a good opportunity to let a young striker, new to the club and keen to get of the mark score his first goal for us.

Not sure, did it at Boro as well.

If he reads TWTD he probably thinks the fans feel he's not good enough for this level so cba to applaud them.

I would actually love to see a rule where the fouled player has to take the penalty

Think designated is Hirst, and behind him is Broadhead

KM - "Alls well that ends well there".

Nothing to see here.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

Woolf played well last night! Didn't have to get out of 2nd gear, looked good, with Burgess next to him again

He was fuming.

Went over to Davis to try and get the ball, Leif didn’t want to make the decision so gave the ball to Morsy

Think Ali deserved to, and needed to, take it. Always good to get a new striker off the mark.

He will get over it. It was the right decision and Davis was right to let Sam decide. That Chaplin was hacked off about it was fine - you want players to step up like that. Chaplin is a great character, passionate and a very good player. Nothing wrong with that.

I noticed McKenna having an arm around him at the end. He’d noticed and that was good management. They’re a great set of players. It’s the most ‘together’ team I’ve seen since Burley’s time and the best since then too.

Sweat, I think, not tears.

Could be blood or toil, I suppose?

Given the work ethic & team spirit of our current squad, it's probably all three, & that would apply to all of them :)

Yeah. Chaplin lost it to Evans last season after a few misses. Broadhead took over after Evans injury and this season it was Hirst.

I thought it might be Kieffer now tbh.

Broady is 2/3 for us iirc?

Lets be honest, hes not very good at penalties.

As someone above said, it seems like its Hirst then Broadhead. After that who knows what the order is!

I'm glad Ali took it and scored.
