Just seen we are wearing orange today.
And a lot of replies out on other socials with people not happy about it.
I know historically clubs wore home kits whenever possible. But when fans have spent alot of money buying away kits etc.. I'm surprised there's still quite alot of unhappiness about not wearing the blue kit.
Where do you stand on this?
For me solely based on people paying to obtain an away Kit... i think away kits should be word whenever possible when you are of course playing away from home.. |  |

Is the unhappiness not due to our record in the away kit more than anything? I'm sure I've seen some stats that showed our results were much more poor in our orange kit. Not to say that this is what would make me unhappy, surely it's always going to be the case for most teams that their results in the away kit are going to be worse than the home kit! |  | | |

the only argument you can make for it, and not even checking the stats is the orange kit hasnt felt like a lucky kit this season
but away kits for away matches, home kits for home matches, and only muck around with 3rd kits when absolutely necessary is my view. |  | | |

Never understood the mentality of fans wanting refunds for poor performances. You know when buying tickets that it's live sport and there's a chance of any kind result, excellent or poor. If you think you should be refunded for poor results then surely you must also agree that you should pay an extra fee after the game if you've seen an excellent result! | | | |

You wear your home kit unless there’s a clash in which case you wear your away kit. Preston vs Ipswich is the Lilywhites vs the Blues.
Specifically for this season though, we play much better in the blue kit so I’d prefer we wore it.
If you’re buying an away kit why do you care about seeing the team wear it? Presumably you would buy it because you like it. Unless you’re 5 years old this should not be a concern. | | | |

It has to be the orange kit today, Shirley? Preston with white tops, blue trim and blue shorts, blue and white socks. Us with blue shorts with big chunks of white, white shorts and blue trim and blue socks with white trim.

The question wasn't about clashes, it's about whether we should wear the 'home' kit when we are away. For me, if there isn't a clash, you just wear the away kit, because you are away. | |

Although the individual elements of the kits don’t clash directly - white shirts v blue shirts, navy shorts v white shorts - the “overall clash”, as I’ve seen it called in places, can still cause confusion and so you’ll usually see a change in this sort of situation these days. I’m all for wearing the first-choice kit whenever possible, but I understand why we’d go for orange today. [Post edited 3 Feb 14:10]

They're called stockings because they're over the knee. Have seen an increasing number of namby pamby wearing what appear t be tights, though. Personally, I liked to wear long sleeves. Now they're all short sleeves, but ridiculously with figure hugging long sleeve vests underneath. |  | | |
