Any body on 14:32 - Jan 20 with 2249 views | Lord_Lucan | So, I think I will bid on this. I'm not sure how these things go. For example, do the bids go up in increments like EBay or do they take the highest bid as the sales price? If I bid £500 and the nearest bid below me was £100, then do I pay around £110 or do I get stung for the whole £500?

I guess £110, but dependent on how the auctioneers software works. As it’s online, bids cannot be taken “off the wall”…..remember BP is 24% plus, VAT on the BP. Pencil that in. So a purchase at £110 is £126.40 with BP, plus the £4.60 VAT on the BP giving you a total of £131.00. My maths may be wrong, but won’t be far off the mark.

Also, don’t bid in the last few seconds as you would on eBay as it then sets the timer off again notifying others that they have been outbid. I also draw your attention to the Bidding Agreements Act 1927 and 1969 worth a read if you can’t sleep. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The stadium ones are great. The top ones are for kids. I'd love a massive Town badge on my office wall.
