Travis 09:25 - Jan 5 with 5090 views | Asa | What a signing that is. Anyway. In true TWTD style ... here goes. Certainly not Driftwood despite being out of favour for a couple games. Always been impressed with him whenever I have seen him. Very much a younger version of Morsy and versatility too to play elsewhere! A signing to Sing about. Hardworking player that puts the team first. Certainly no Selfish Jean. Will be a great fit in our Side. I'm so Happy. Got a Good Feeling. The Fear has been Morsy's absence and leadership qualities but here's hoping we have The Last Laugh of the Laughter come season end and our Pipe Dreams get a little Closer. As You Are. Peace The F Out. [Post edited 5 Jan 9:28]

Might be a case of thinking the grass is greener on the other side?

Would not be surprised. Never really been impressed with him. He doesn't look capable of playing our way. He, like Evans, slows down so much of the momentum in our build up, but lacks the few things Evans brings to the table. In my mind I immediately link Ball with coming on to see out a game and us conceding. Charlton in particular. With someone like Travis, who can also fill in at full back like Ball, it's hard to see a route even to the bench for Ball now. Guessing Ball was a 2 year deal with an option? So he'd be off in the summer anyway. Barely played in League One, let alone the Championship so likely he'll want a move as well now if he can get one. [Post edited 5 Jan 9:31]

Is it not 4 maximum in the match day squad though? I can't really remember, so you might be right.

that was done a long time ago imo, not been in my thoughts as one of our players. He's not up to it quality wise or medically.

Yep, with the exception of about a month at the start of last season he's generally been poor for us when fit, and not fit for far too much of his time here, which has been a feature of his career really. I think he's played his last game in a Town shirt. Wouldn't be surprised if he's de-registered to make space, continues his recovery and moves on in the summer when his contract expires.

Let's be honest. Ball isn't good enough for the style we play is he?

I have no inside knowledge and know nothing of the social media rumours swirling around him, I just think he wasn't very good against QPR, and we improved significantly when Clarke came on (along with Taylor for Ball). Not to mention the bit of nonsense with Ilias Chair that left our backline completely exposed. Now we have Travis would you swap Williams for a striker?
Travis on 10:33 - Jan 5 with 2811 views | ChampionsofInnsbruck | I don’t think Ball is the one that will be worried by this, I think it’s Morsy who Travis will be pushing against for a place in the side with. I guess the manager has seen that there’s a risk with Morsy getting suspended for key games and is eyeing up an alternative option without committing to a permanent move just yet, which is smart.

Morsy is the first name on the teamsheet. It'll be for rotation with Luongo and possibly at full back if needed.

…KM plainly doesn’t want to play Taylor and Mass together, he sees them as the alternatives to each other. Long/mid term I still expect Taylor to replace Mass. Domble is clearly deemed (rightly) to not be up to standing in for Morsy, so Travis is in. We need to start freeing up some space in the squad now, I expect Ball to go and Evans to be deregistered.

Travis on 11:05 - Jan 5 with 2372 views | RedX | Ball was poor against QPR despite McKenna saying he has trained well in this position and was ready to cover Morsy. I think McKenna knew we needed better cover here for a while now. It would not surprise me to see Ball move on now.
