For sure, and he was probably the worst Keane signing. PJ managed to outdo him with a couple of his though - Ingimarsson, Ellington (although he was probably about the same level of rubbish).

The one that sticks in my memory the most is Bilel Mohsni Signed on loan from L2 and barely played as we already had too many players already at the club who were on loan

People were getting quite excited about him too, if I remember correctly. That didn’t last long. It was such a bad period, with everything wrong with the club top to bottom.

He went on to have a good career in Scotland, I think with Rangers when they were working their way up the leagues. ( This isn't fact, just from memory )

It’s frightening when you see it written down like that. WTF was Evans thinking (apart from ‘where’s my £90M gone?’ ).

Certainly by the time we acquired Nathan Ellington (2011) he was well past his best and proved to be a very poor signing. In fairness though he had been a really good player at Wigan (2002 - 2005). Within those years Wigan were a good side.

Ward was a decent player, though obviously not a patch on Davis, Leigh or Williams. McGuinness was the wrong man at the wrong time. Clearly talented but we needed someone experienced in the middle whilst blooding Woolfenden. The rest... yeesh.

Josh Harrop was the one that mademe realise how far we had fallen. On loan from higher league Preston, felt like an embarrassment. And he ws cack.

It's been a good few years since I kicked a ball, but I'm pretty sure I could have put in a better impersonation of a professional footballer than Josh Harrop.

And looks like he’s no longer playing. Wikipedia lists his last club as a short term deal at Northampton in 2022.

He was a real wild card and we barely played him, didn't he then go to Rangers? One of those who had the talent but was completely mental

Ward was approaching the twilight of his career and didn’t have the legs for it. Agree with McGuiness. Harrop was one of the worst players I’ve ever seen in a town shirt. Bennetts had the ability but without the football brain to go with. Everyone else. Ouch.
