Is Gorleston actually a real place or is it one of those conspiracy theories like Australia?

The replacement for Stuart Webber doesn't start until December so hard for them to recruit a new manager at this point - expect things will drag out as far as they can until their new Sporting Director is in position

Has the new Arsenal guy not come in yet?

Look East were really hyping up the appointment

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Starts on 27th November. Feels an odd move from being the loan manager at Arsenal to Sporting Director at Norwich. His experience is very much on the football side, analysis etc, which is clearly no bad thing, but it's going to be quite a baptism of fire for him really. To be thrown into potential managerial changes, dealing with a restless fanbase and clearly some very tough decisions to be made financially. He won't have had to involve himself in any of that at Arsenal.

Asked him to renegotiate his notice so they can sack Wagner on his first day?

It's hilarious how quickly the wheels have fallen off at Norwich. Although when you play the high-risk game of trying to milk it as the yo-yo club, there's always a chance you land on a snake instead of a ladder.

Their precarious finances, coupled with the talent brain drain (largely from Norfolk to Suffolk) has really levelled the playing field between us for the first time in over a decade.

Imagine next season if Ashton poaches him just as Brizzle are top six and we're losing McKenna to Champions League football, whilst we look to secure Europa League qualification.

Europa League Qualification? I just don't get why some fans are still so pessimistic.

Seems as if something has prompted this sudden change of plans - especially now that Webber is officially departing the club on 11th November. Given that there was originally meant to be a handover period, something must have happened over the last couple of days to change that.

The whole situation seems utterly unfathomable, though. Before the announcement earlier that Knapper would be starting on Monday, the club had put out via the EDP that they had spoken to Knapper, and that Wagner would still be in charge at the weekend:

It's a weird one for sure - it'll be interesting to see how someone moving into their first Sporting Director appointment will deal with being thrown straight into this complete and utter dumpster fire, with the first job (on any sane person's to-do list, anyway) being to sack the manager.

Not a huge surprise as Webber didn't attend their last game (confirmed by the club)

On the pink un the comment is that three years ago they were debt free and now they are £100 million in debt with a worse squad.

Shame!
