Reason for Hirst Delay 22:44 - Jul 12 with 6168 views

I remember this happening previously with a player but can't for the life of me remember who it was now. We had to wait for permission from the selling club before we could press the button and do all the press stuff (I think linked to them being able to sort their new signing and press stuff for that). Anyone remember who it was?

I suspect everything is done....please

Must admit this was my first thought as well....so perhaps it did happen with Harper. But I ended up landing on another so possibly there were two similar ones...

Keep guessing. (Though we are now in the realms of it possibly having been Harper but I've got this other guy in my head now). Convinced this one was delayed while the other club sorted their stuff out.

The real overblown excitement and mayhem I remember amongst Town fans was to do with the wholly understandable frustration over the delay in the announcement of the signing of Graham Harbey.

This would have been in that glorious November of 1989 when he finally signed for West Brom.

I’m led to believe that Leicester have had an offered accepted for Joel Piroe, so that could be the reason for a delay as they’re waiting to get that deal concluded before allowing a striker to leave
